~Braxton woke me up when we landed. I can't believe he let me sleep on his lap for 4 hours. He says he didn't mind but I still feel bad. Poor guy probably couldn't even feel his legs.
"Where are we going?" I say as we walk into a modern office looking building. He doesn't answer, he just continues walking until we reach the elevator. "Are you just going to ignore me?" Still no reply. The elevator closed and he pressed for the 15th floor.
The ride up was really tense and awkward. I don't understand why he was acting this way all of a sudden. "Brax," I call out. No answer. "Hello, can you not hear me calling you?" He sighs loudly as he walks off of the elevator, still not acknowledging me. I step off of the elevator following behind him.
When we get towards the end of the hall, he turns to a door and types in a code which opens the door. I follow him inside and he walks over towards the large desk and sits. "Come here." He says, not looking up from his computer. I ignore him and stay where I am. "Are you going to make me repeat myself?" Again, I don't reply.
He didn't answer when I was talking to him, now I'm going to do the same."Don't make me tell you again, Elora." He says, his voice low but still firm. Still, I don't move. I don't even look up at him, not until I hear him push back his chair and stand up. He started to slowly stride towards me. His steps are so light, so gentle that I can't even hear them. But I know he's here. "Do you enjoy making me mad?" He asks as he finally approaches me, keeping his voice low and smooth.
When I don't reply to him, he puts his finger under my chin and tilts my head up. "When I ask you a question," he moves closer, his lips grazing my ear. "I expect you to answer, sì?"
"Yes." I breathe.
"Good, now come sit. We need to talk."
We walked over to his desk. He sits down and starts to type something into his computer.
"Do you know who this is?" He turns the computer around so that I can see the screen. The screen shows a dark haired man, his eyes so dark it's like you into the darkest pits of hell.
"No." I replied. He nods and turns the computer back to him, already starting to pull up another.
"What about him?" This time the screen shows a man that I recognize in an instant. His dirty blonde hair, dark blue eyes.
"Yes," I say. "I know him."
"How do you know him?" He says shutting down the computer.
"He's Chris's father."
"Your ex?" I nod. "When did you first meet him?"
"A few years ago when I first met Chris."
"When was the last time you last saw him?"
"When Chris brought me with him to a business dinner," I say "it was a while ago."
"When was the last time Chris tried contacting you?" He Interrogates
