"Thank you, Ice," Rose smiled, "It meant a lot to me and Rain,"
"No problem," Ice smiled as well.
"Attorney Ice Vallefer, sounds weird," Rain laughed, "Weren't you dumb at grammar when we were in high school?" Rain laughed more.
"Right, Averain Zadelle is here to ruin the moment," Ice mumbled, making Rain hear it on purpose.
Rose started laughing as well, making his stomach hurt, "Ouch, seriously."
"Don't be too hard on yourself," Ice patted Rose's head, " I have to go now, I'm really sorry,"
"It's okay, Ice. We all know being a lawyer is hard," Rain said in a bitter tone, "I was kidding!" Rain laughed when both Rose and Ice gave him glares.
"Bye, both of you." Ice smiled again, "Oh, right. Are you and Devon dating now?" Ice asked Rose.
"Watch your mouth," Rain warned, "They haven't met yet,"
Ice looked at Rose to make sure what Rain was saying was true, Rose nodded, looking down.
Ice nodded, "Alright, stay safe. Call me when you need me, alright?" Ice handed Rose and Rain his business card.
"Wow, boujee," Rain giggled and handed his as well, "Here's mine, call us too."
"Alright, goodbye," Ice smiled and took the card.
"Mhm, bye," Rose smiled.
-
"I'm not a kid, Rain. Seriously."
"You should still take care of yourself, I never know when I might see you in a hospital bed ever again." Rain replied.
"Well, that doesn't explain why I need help with feeding myself," Rose frowned.
"You know very well that that frown of yours looks good on you," Rain said sarcastically.
"I know," Rose replied, rolling his eyes.
"Ambrose Valen, who could you live without me," Rain sighed, putting the food down on the bedside table.
"You still haven't told me about what happened back then," Rain stated, "Though I know it was your mother's doing,"
"It's a long story," Rose replied, looking outside the big window in his room.
"Then tell me that long story, I'll listen," Rain pressed his lips together after saying it, showing he was ready to listen.
"Okay, fine."
-
"Wow, Kairose! It's good to see you here,"
"I know, I and my son decided to finally move here to Italy because of your offer," Rose's mom replied to a woman that looked her age.
"You must be tired because of the flight, please go inside. I made sure to buy the best penthouse I could,"
"Thank you, we appreciate it,"
Once they had reached the elevator, Rose's mom immediately lectured him.
"Your frown made it obvious that you were tired!" She shouted, "Miss Lexie is an important person, do not disrespect her like that,"
Rose just nodded as a response, looking down.
"Answer me!"
"Yes, mom," Rose replied.
She scoffed, fixing her hair before the elevator opens on the 17th floor. They were both greeted with a big and spacious living room. It was big enough for at least 6 people to live in, not that Rose was exaggerating.
Rose was led by his mom to a spacious bedroom, "You're staying here,"
"Yes, mom," Rose placed the small bag he was carrying on the bed.
"Our luggage should arrive here soon," Rose's mom said.
-
"Miss Kairose! How was your trip here to Italy with your son?"
"Miss Kairose! Look here,"
Though Rose's mom liked the attention, he didn't. He hated the flashing lights and cameras, including the number of people looking at him.
"Smile," Kairose whispered so only Rose could hear it. Rose had no choice but to obey what his mother said, flashing a smile for the cameras.
"Wait! Miss Kairose!"
After what felt like a decade, they were finally led by bodyguards inside the event. They were seated at the very first row, the closest to the runway. They were here to watch and see the models wearing designs from famous designers, including Kairose herself.
Rose really liked designing clothes. When he was young, he liked seeing models wearing nice-looking clothes. It was his own mother that ruined his dream for him.
"Splendid! Kairose had designed that," People at the back were whispering, and from the look on his mother's face, she was happy.
Now, Rose had wondered whether he should continue his dream. It started as something he wanted to reach, now it is just a dream forced upon him by his mother.
More than not reaching his dream, Rose wanted to reach his dream slowly. He wanted to finish studying at Zevrille, have fun with his friends, and reach his dream with Devon beside him. With his friend that he didn't know he had fallen in love with. He missed Rain, Devon, everyone from the volleyball team, and his life back in Korea. He has no choice but to live a life in Italy forced upon him by his mother.
