"Hi! My mom wanted to ask if your mother does gown and suit designs."

It was a winter day, Devon had asked the child next door.

The other child peeked from the door, "U-uh, she does. B-but s-she's not home. They're out on a business trip." he said, his face flushed red.

"Are you okay?" Devon asked the child in front of him.

"I'm okay," he replied.

"I'm Devon! And you are?"

"I'm Rose..." the child mumbled.

"You have a pretty name!" Devon smiled.

"T-thank you."

"You look like you're freezing, you should close the door and get warm."

"Okay," Rose nodded, "D-do you want to go in?"

"You shouldn't let strangers in your house, what if I'm a bad person?" Devon giggled.

"But you're not a bad person," Rose mumbled.

"Does the heater in your house even work?" Devon removed his scarf and put it around Rose's neck, "This scarf always makes me warm however cold the weather is!"

"It looks weird," Rose looked at the scarf that is now around his neck.

"Don't say that, I stitched that myself. Mom helped me!" Devon smiled widely.

"It feels warm," Rose held onto the scarf.

"That's good! Take care of it okay? I worked hard on it."

"Then why would you give it to me?"

"Because you look cold," Devon said.

Rose stared at Devon for a while before speaking again, "Thank you."

"You're welcome!"
