                       CHAPTER 9

The two boys walked towards the Gallagher house, at a fairly fast pace, while Samara kept her pace slow and her gaze towards the floor, running her hand along her cheek and feeling a shiver go through her body, all.
He touched her and she let him do it, as if what he was doing was normal, and she could no longer complain, because for a while she was playing the game too.
And now she felt strange, both inside and out, she felt disappointed in herself and didn't feel well at all.

Arriving in front of the Gallagher house it was already 9:00 in the evening, she stopped in front of the porch  , making sure that the two boys entered, and when she was about to move away from her home, Carl called her from the door jamb, making a nod with his head to go inside the house, but she refused, shaking her head, and remaining with her eyes pointed at the floor, headed back home.

"Milkovich, is everything  okay?" - the boy raised his voice, going down the stairs of the porch, trying to get closer to the girl who kept her way towards her  house, not even turning to answer him, but continuing to walk towards the door and opening it gently with the keys, and walking silently into the house, still followed by Carl's gaze, looking at her from his  front door and through the living room's window of the Ball house.

When Samara entered the house she found the lights out, and the figure of Kevin completely stretched out on the sofa with the TV still on and the twins in their cribs, asleep.
She walked over to one of the lockers near the dressing room, pulling out a fairly heavy duvet from there and wrapping it around Kevin, then turning off the TV and gently picking up the twins in her arms and carrying them upstairs to their room and depositing them in their cots, as she walked to her room, she closed the door silently behind her, taking a deep breath, then taking her pajamas from the closet and putting on slowly, when she noticed that the wound on her side was becoming even more red and black at the edge, and that it had begun to hurt like hell again.

So  she  took off her  shirt and immediately ran to the  bathroom, disinfecting the wound again and applying some ointment, hoping it would take effect at least this time, then turned to the mirror, noticing the scratched face and disheveled hair, which gave her a look of confusion and chaos, just what was manifesting right inside her.

Then she  grabbed her  pajama shirt, and gently wore it, without rubbing the wound in his side against it, and walked over to
Kevin and Veronica's room, which was apparently only occupied by the woman.
As Samara stretched  beside her and hugged her, when veronica noticed

"Samara, what are you doing here?" - Veronica muttered with a voice thick with sleep, turning to the girl who was trying to hold back her tears

"Please V,  can I  sleep here? , just for tonight, I don't feel like being alone" - she said almost sobbing  the  but holding herself  back, while the woman nodded keeping her eyes still closed and falling asleep again, as Samara stared at the motionless ceiling, trying to think of something that had made her relax and made her sleep at least a little, but difficult given the fact that all the memories were buzzing in her head, not allowing her to even think.

That morning for the Gallaghers could have turned out to be either the beginning of an unforgettable day or the beginning of a day that would lead to the abandonment of daily  life.
The sky surrounded by many gray clouds and the sun not very visible, made Fiona understand that the day would not be as she would have expected it, but despite this, she continued to think positively,
We never know what life has in store for us.

She got ready very calmly, arranging her hair in a trimmed bun, leaving some unruly strands down, and applying some concealer and a thin layer of mascara, then decided on the most arranged clothes she had in a nice wardrobe and put them on, under the  gaze of Sean, which she hadn't even noticed.
