CHAPTER 13
The two continued to let themselves be carried away by the music, frolicking around the living room laughing, it did not matter whether the music was loud or light, blissful or gasy, the symphony made them perceive sensations almost impossible to describe, they felt good at that moment , ignoring their thoughts for a moment to feel the thrill of freedom, they were happy and they knew it, their muffled laughter was true, their letting themselves be carried away by the music was completely autonomous, nothing already arranged, just their emotions.
Dancing a song, a sniff and laughing, the three things that at that moment made them forget the existence of thoughts , thinking only of how a world like that could've currently been, without thoughts and worries, only them and the beautiful emotions, the happiness, freedom, the desire to live without regrets, to do the wrong things and then learn from them, not to think about all the consequences that a certain thing can lead to, impulsiveness? Not really, mostly freedom.
It is what most of us want, but that cannot be achieved without compromise, after all you cannot compress the brain so that all thoughts disappear otherwise it would be too nice and easy.
But in that moment it was as if it were like that for them, as if they were in a world completely theirs, without thoughts and nothing, living happily as when children go on the swing or slide, the feeling of freedom that spread through their veins. , up to the brain and heart, tranquility.
They didn't even care that soon they would have to get up to get ready for school, it was like they lived in another mind and they liked it, maybe it was even slightly the effect of the drug that gave that feeling.
They danced a few more songs before plopping down on the sofa, meeting their eyes for another time and bursting into a warm laugh, their eyes beginning to narrow at the sensation of sleep and the silence that lulled them.
One of the best feelings of their life.Few hours probably passed by until the moment in which Samara woke up, completely stretched out on the side of the back of the sofa, occupying a fairly narrow part of space and feeling the presence of someone else at her side, even if she did not metabolize immediately.
She rubbed her eyes with her wrist, still keeping them slightly narrowed at the sight of the light that made its way between the room, which illuminated her face and made the atmosphere almost cheerful, surrounded by the fresh air and the morning breeze that slightly moved the leaves from the trees .
She looked around, managing to open her eyes more and more and beginning to adapt them to the light that was no longer as strong as whe. she had just woken up, before sliding her gaze towards the body, still dressed in Svetlana's light black dress with embroidered sleeves, and hair, no longer placed at the sides by the pins, which spread along most of the face, a hand that reached towards the girl's chest, and a leg that rejoined hers.
Feeling the closeness of someone next to her, the girl looked around for a moment, noticjng that even if she didn't have who knows how much space available, she was comfortable and had a feeling of well-being in herself, as if she had slept for at least a whole week without even waking up to drink, then she took his arm along her chest and moved it slightly towards the small part of the sofa that separated her from the boy, before then turning to the opposite side, a little awkwardly because of the legs still intertwined between of them and noticing Carl sleeping blissfully on the other side of the sofa, huddling in his small portion of space and with one arm under the pillow, his hair slightly tousled all over his face, his lips completely glued to the pillow and his eyes half closed experiencing well-being of comfort.
Fuck if he was beautiful, the light reflected on his brown hair, giving them a particular shade, moreover much of the light illuminated his face, leading to imagine what those big ocean blue eyes would have been like with the contrast of the light on them, how much more the iris would have stood out, how much deeper they would have become and what affection they would have had on her.
