"Boooorrreeed!" Ruby groans loudly. She and Blake had been walking through Forever Fall for a while now, and neither had seen a single Pokemon. Zorua was looking at the colored leaves floating through the breeze, captivated by the beautiful autumn colors.
"Ruby, we've only been here for half an hour. How can you be so bored?" Blake wasn't exactly thrilled to be out here either, but she can do without Ruby being so noisy.
"We've been looking forever, but haven't ran into anything!" Ruby whines. Even Zorua was getting a little fed up with Ruby's whining.
"Mama's kind of a brat." He thought to himself. Blake sighs, shaking her head as she stops. Ruby stops as well, wondering why Blake stopped walking.
"Maybe we should split up. Our chances of finding a Pokemon will be better if we went in seperate directions." Blake offered. Ruby considers Blakes plan in her head. It could be just an excuse to get away from Ruby, which was hurtful to her. She didn't mean to be annoying, but she was just tired and they weren't having any luck.
"But, what if one of us runs into a Grimm?" That was her main concern.
"Our Pokemon are more than capable of defending us should we encounter Grimm." Ruby looks back at Zorua, who didn't look too enthused about the idea.
Of course, neither was Ruby, not since the first time Zorua fought a Beowolf when they first met. Back then, Zorua wasn't strong enough and while he definitely improved, he wasn't mentally ready. Ruby shakes her head.
"I'm sorry, Blake, but I'm going to have to say no to your idea." Blake was surprised by Ruby's answer, slightly raising one of her eyebrows. Ruby explains her reasoning.
"Our Pokémon may be stronger than before, but Zorua? He's still afraid." Zorua puts his paws on Ruby's shoulder and nuzzles her cheek, giving it a small lick. Ruby giggles and strokes the side of his face affectionately.
"When I first met him, he went ahead and fought a Beowolf and he got hurt. I was scared for him, and didn't want him to...you know. And even though he's stronger than before, he's not emotionally or mentally ready to fight Grimm."
Blake was silent, just listening to Ruby talk about Zorua. Their relationship has grown in such a short amount of time, it was incredible. Blake didn't know how or why it got to be so strong, but her main concern is that Ruby is babying him. That could stunt his growth if that were the case. Blake was about to point that out to her when her ears pricked up and twisted to the left.
"Did you hear that?"
Ruby was about to ask what, when she heard something east from where they were standing. Something big and heavy, but too loud to be a Grimm. They were silent while moving, waiting for a chance to ambush them.
"Let's go check it out." Both students walked quietly through the Forever Fall until they reached a small path. In front of them was what had to be a Pokémon, because no other creature like it existed.
It was a large elephant with bronze plates along it's back, long ears, and trunk. It had smaller tusks, which could mean it might be a female. It has a short tail, thick legs, and plates around its ankles.
