"Don't be nervous. The most important thing, is to not be nervous."
"Okay."
"Well...that's a lie. Actually be a little nervous. But don't show it."
"Sarah, you're freaking her out," Nick cut in.
"No I'm not. She's fine. You're fine, right?" Sarah asked me.
"Uh...yeah I'm fine. I hadn't considered being nervous."
"See Nick. I told you," Sarah looked over at him.
"She's just saying that. Meeting the parents is a huge deal."
I scrunched my eyebrows, "Nick said you were completely cool with meeting his parents."
"That's because he didn't warn me and when I'm overwhelmed I tend to seem super calm. Make no mistake, I was having a meltdown."
I watched as Nick looked over at her with surprise, "You hid that really well."
"It's a gift," she shrugged smirking.
"Ugh you guys are grossing me out. I need to go before you start making out over FaceTime," I groaned.
"K bye," Sarah said smiling.
"Talk to you later, Anna," Nick said.
"Bye," I pressed the end button and went back to packing my duffle bag. I had no idea what to expect for this Christmas break I was about to embark on, but out of all of the feelings I had been feeling, nervous hadn't been one that I had considered. Maybe it was because I had known Trevor's family my whole life and hadn't worried about whether or not his mom would like me. This position was new.
I looked up from my bag when I heard the door open. Liam smiled as he walked in and sat on my bed. "So are you nervous?" He asked smiling.
I laughed, "Are YOU nervous? First Christmas with Megan and her whole family?"
"I am a little nervous, yeah. But I think it should be fun. Sorry you couldn't come home with me for Christmas though."
"What do you mean?"
Liam's eyes momentarily got larger, "Just that...if Megan hadn't been coming to my house I definitely would have invited you."
"Oh...well it's all good. This should be fun...right?" I asked looking for reassurance.
"Yeah. It will be fun. When do you leave?" He asked.
I looked down at my watch, "Fifteen minutes ago?" I smiled sheepishly. "He's been texting me, but I got distracted."
"Well allow me to distract you further. I think Niall might've had an overnight guest last night."
My eyes widened as I put my last sweater in my duffle bag. "You're joking."
"I cannot confirm for certain since I don't live with him, but I saw him leave the club with someone."
"You know, I forgot that you weren't staying here. What are you even doing here?"
He chuckled, "I had to check on my best friend and make sure she wasn't losing her mind."
I smiled and lunged at him for a hug, "You're the best."
Just as we parted I heard a knock at the door and was greeted by a smiling Harry when I opened it, "Please tell me you're ready. I've been waiting in the car for like an hour."
"I'm not THAT late," I defended as I grabbed my bag from the couch.
"Oh, Liam, hey," Harry said as he stepped into the room.
