I know what you’re thinking, and no, we didn’t have sex. It would seem that it was leading that way but when my chest started to tighten because I stopped being able to breathe through my nose, the whole ordeal became a whole lot less sexy. I’ll spare you the details. We ended up curled against each other, so much more satisfying than the pillows, and fast asleep.

I woke up a few hours later in a sweat. I was cold and hot at the same time. I kicked the covers off and tossed and turned to the side trying to find a comfortable position to lie in, but failing. Harry shifted next to me and I knew I’d woken him up, I felt bad, but maybe I’d done it a little bit on purpose so he could join my misery.

“What’s wrong?” He said deeply, his voice not quite clear from sleep.

“Nothing, sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” I lied.

He wrapped his arm back around my waist and pulled me close to him, “You’re burning up, why are you shaking?”

“I’m freezing. Please don’t let go,” I whined.

“I should call someone, a doctor or something. How long have you been feeling like this?”

“Just since this afternoon, but it’s gotten worse.”

“Anna, why didn’t you tell me?” He pressed.

I rolled over to face him, “I was a little distracted.”

He finally cracked a small smile, “Right. How could I forget?”

“I just want to sleep, but I can’t get comfortable. Please don’t call a doctor right now; it’s the middle of the night. Everyone will wonder what you were doing in my room. Unnecessary drama.”

He nodded and rested his chin on the top of my head after kissing its top, “Okay, deal.”

“Will you just talk to me until I fall asleep? Your voice is kind of soothing.”

“Sure…well I found out today that my sister is coming to visit in a couple of days.”

I moved so I could look up at him, “Your sister? Here?”

“Yeah. She likes to stop in and hangout for a little bit when she gets the chance so she’s taking an early vacation and coming here and then I’ll see her again when I go home for Christmas. So you’ll get to meet her.”

“Oh that’s awesome,” I yawned, “Sorry, I’m exhausted; that does sound awesome though.”

He chuckled, “That’s about all I have to tell you. We’ve just spent days together, nothing new has happened.”

“That’s a fair point. Are you sure you’re okay staying in here? You don’t have to, if you are worried about getting sick.”
