The Unexpected Alpha Pair

"This is where the pack run will take place, led by me and Andrea." Clark informed.

The area was wide and surrounded by tall trees paired with the sounds of its inhabitants. Nature's beauty is truly enchanting.

Fresh air went into my nostrils and it reminded me of my childhood, being chased by my father as I escape from my training.

"We'll leave you both for now, enjoy." The couple winked at us and shifted through the forest.

I turned my attention to my mate as he gave me a smile I'm starting to love.

"While we're here, why don't we get to know each other, lets do less than twenty questions?" he asked, giving me a mesmerizing smirk. Oh Moon Goddess, I will forever be grateful to you for giving me such a beautiful man.

Jacob signaled me to ask the first question, so I asked the first question that popped into my head "Your favorite color?"

"Black and White. My turn, your favorite food?"

"Pancakes with strawberries dipped in chocolate. It's more like my snack whenever I feel sad or happy. Anyway, What's your favorite dessert?" Knowing his favorite food was steak, I wanted to know his favorite dessert so that I could make it.

"Cookies, they remind me of my mom, she always used to bake me one of those whenever I get mad at my dad. Last question, tell me about you, your age, favorite time of the day, your parents, and everything. I want to know your whole background."

I played with his hair as I answer his questions. "My name is Skyler Anderson, daughter of Steven and Dalia Anderson. My parents have been mates for almost 25 years now. They met each other when my mom visited our pack. After three years of their relationship, I came to this world. Now, I'm 22 years old. I haven't had any relationships with anyone, so I'm new to this."

"Your turn, tell me about yourself" I added.

" I am Jacob Bennets, son of Joseph and Silvia Bennets. My father died when I was 16, and a year after, my mom followed. I was left alone with my former Beta who trained me until I became Alpha." He paused and looked directly in my eyes.

"On the day of my Alpha ceremony, I finally found my mate, the one I've been waiting for my whole life. We locked each others eyes, and she was the first to break the silence between us. She had this look in her eyes, I could already tell that it wouldn't end well. As soon as she spoke her final sentences, I was shattered into pieces, I couldn't bare the pain of rejection. My entire pack saw what had happened, they saw how weak I looked at the very first hour of my job as an alpha. I went mad at the sight of someone's happiness with their mates. I had nothing left, it was only my role as alpha that kept me going, if it weren't for that, I would've ended my life a long time ago."

"I'm sure she regrets on rejecting such a blessing." I said as I stared into his bright Atlantic orbs.

"But I was thankful she rejected me, because I found someone better, someone that made me be myself even if we only knew each other for a short time, I already know I'm meant for you, I finally found you." He caressed my hair and leaned closer to my face.

Butterflies erupted on my stomach as I pulled him for a kiss. My nostrils was intoxicated by his scent it made my wolf and my mind go haywire.

"I love you" He said.

"I love you too" I replied while messing with his hair.

As soon as finished my sentence, I could hear Jacob in mind. We can finally mind link each other because of the mate bond. "I love you more"

Darkness was slowly creeping the forest when we heard twigs snap, paws running towards us. We both stood beside each other. A dark brown wolf and a light grey one stopped in front of us. Andrea and Clark, I assumed.
