"We won't be seeing each other before the alliance meeting right?" My arms wrapped Jacob in a tight hug as if it's the last.

"Yes. It's three days from now so I'll miss you."

"See you soon. I love you and take care."

"You too." I leaned my head on his open window to quickly kiss him.

His car drove away until I could no longer see it. I headed home missing Jacob already.

"Oh look at these, you looked perfect with a kid." Mom showed me the photos she and laurel took while we were sleeping on the couch. "I'm not going to have kids so soon mom. By the way, where's Clara? I haven't seen her since we got here." I changed the topic as I signed paperworks.

"She went to go visit another pack for her mate. She's supposed to be here yesterday but she decided to visit a friend and sleep there." Dad answered as he played with Charles in my office.

I massaged my temples as my head started ache.

"GRANDPA! AGAIN!" Charles yelled happily. The screams and running around only made my headache worse until I could no longer continue my work. "Please, play in Charles' room. I can't work properly."

"But you said you would play with me aunt Sky." He frowned. "I'm sorry but I'm not feeling well right now. We'll play next time okay?"

Mom gently pressed the back of her hand on my forehead to check my temperature. "You should sleep, you had a long day today. Leave the papers to your dad and I, there's only a few left so rest." She kissed my cheek.

"Good night. I love you guys." I stood up and balanced myself on the table when my head began to slowly spin.

"Good night aunt Sky." Charles' loud voice was changed into a whisper as he hugged me good night.

"Good night Sky."

I walked to my room frequently closing my eyes, hoping that the spinning would end. Groaning, I laid on the bed almost sleeping immediately.

...

"Good morning Alpha! We missed you." Taylor and her group of teenage friends greeted me as I walked around the pack. They had wide grins and I immediately knew what they were telling me.

"Make sure the pool is cold. And don't forget about the drinks." I continued to walk then waved back at them. "Yey! Thanks. You're the best, Alpha!"

"Planning to party with the teenagers again?" Adrian appeared on my side. "You sound like I'm an old person trying to blend in with a younger generation." My eyebrows furrowed even further than before as I woke up in a bad mood without a reason.

Stopping by at our training field, I looked at the lined up teenagers who were doing anything else except for training. "Where's the gamma? He's late. His students are already here! He should be the one waiting and not the other way around!" I saw Taylor making out with her boyfriend and got irritated. "Taylor! It's early in the morning. Do that later. Hold this for me instead." She ran to hold my punching bag. I punched it hard while my face stayed grumpy. They all stood up straight and watched me anxiously as if I would hit them at any second.

An empty can of coffee drink was thrown purposely at my side. All our heads snapped to whoever threw it. Connor came jogging slowly with a smile. I looked deep into his soul wanting to rip his stupid smile that's pissing me off.

"Idiot!" Adrian hit him in the head. "Ow!-" "It's code red! Didn't you check the calendar today?" He added another hit.

"Oh crap! You're in your days again." Connor rubbed the area Adrian hit.
