Ch-26 Rights bring responsibilities too

I was shocked, when Sara's step father call mom to her grandma. How could I never knew about that? "So finally both of you get time, out of your busy schedule to come here." Grandma said in her not so sweet tone. "Mom, we are sorry for coming late actually Divya had an emergency in the hospital. So that's why we are late." Sara's uncle said while walking to her.

"Really?" Grandma said with a bitter laugh. "She knew about morning incident." Neil inform to his mom and his step father while making there eyes wide in fear. "Mom, I can explain." Sara's mom said nervously. "Explain what Divya? That you slap your daughter just because she reminded you about your husband's death anniversary which of you forget. Huh?" Grandma shot back at her daughter in law.

"I am sorry about that. I know I should not forget about that but about Sara, I am not. She become very difficult to handle sometimes, mom. She misbehave with me, Prashant and Neil. Her main target is always Prashant. So as her mother, I did what I found correct to do at that time." She snap.

"As her mother you did what you found right?" Grandma ask and she nodded. "Dr. Divya you might be a very good doctor but let me tell you something that rights bring responsibilities too." She said in a very cold tone. "What do you mean? You think I am not fulfilling my responsibilities properly as her mother?" She ask with raised eye brows.

"Neil, tell your mom what I mean and how she fulfilled her responsibilities as Sara's mother." Grandma said while looking at her daughter in law. "Sara found fainted near royal poinciana tree, half an hour ago." Neil said while looking down while making his mom and his step father shock. "What?" Sara's mom ask in shock and worries and Neil slowly nodded his head while looking at his mom.

"Tell them the reason." Grandma ordered. "She fainted because she was not eating properly from last one week." As he said that I could see guilt and worries in his mom's eyes "Mom.. " She started stopped by the hand of grandma. "Divya and Prashant, I have never interrupted in your lives. You said you both wanted to get married for Neil and Sara because they were kids and you needed someone. Sara used to beg me for not let that wedding happen but I thought eventually she will understand that it's for her own good... But today I realized that I should have listen to her at that time."

"But let me tell you, her father is dead but her grandmother is still alive. I will not let anything happen to my grand daughter." She added while adding a authority in her voice. I feel happy that Sara have such a supporting and caring grandma. As she said that Anny came out while announcing that Sara is awake.

After that blackout, I heard someone whispering but it was not clear. I slowly open my eyes, but I could not see anything properly it was blur. Soon I can see clearly, but it confused me when I saw Anny and Yashvi, by my side. What is Yashvi doing at my grandma's house? And wait I am inside the house now?

"What are you doing here?" I asked while getting up from my bed but then I realized my voice has changed maybe because of my crying session. It will hurt my throat when I will speak. "Hye slowly." My best friend said while helping me making sit properly. I noticed a tube inserted in wrist. As soon as I sit properly, she hug me while I noticed Anny walking outside the room. "You scared me, you idiot." She said, and I know she is crying.

Soon I saw Agastya, big boss, Neil, Mom and her husband coming inside the room. Yashvi broke our hug and stood aside when she noticed my grandma coming towards me. "Sara.." She said while sitting where Yashvi was earlier and I noticed fews tears falling from her eyes. I was about to speak something but stopped by my cough. Damn, it's hurts my throats so much. "Water" Grandma said and Yashvi handover me a glass of water.

"How are you feeling now, baby?" I heard my mom's soft voice after I finished whole glass of water in one breath. "Better" I said in my hoarse voice while looking up at her. "Here's your food, eat it." Anny said while forwarding a plate full of food in front of me and patted by cheeks softly with her hands. While taking it from Anny, big boss feed me the food with her own hands.

"Sara.. You are living here, with me forever." Big boss said while feeding me another mouth full bite which made me look at her. "Forever?" I ask in confusion and she nodded. "You can visit your mom once in a week but you have to come back here before the time of food." She added and I know why she is saying this.

"But Mom.. " My mom started but she was interrupted by big boss. "I did not stop anyone from staying here. You can stay here if you want to live with your daughter but she will not stay there." Big boss announced while continue feeding me. "Let's talk about this later." I whisper to her and she nodded while continue feeding me. After eating food, big boss gave me some medicines which Aryan bought when he come back from somewhere.

And soon I fell asleep again maybe because of medicines.

I woke up to find no one in the room except my mom who is sleeping on a chair. I look at my wrist, that tube was not there anymore. Mom must have removed it. "Mom.. " I call her while getting up and I noticed my voice is still hoarse. "Yes? You need something?" She ask while eye opening her sleepy eyes.

"No, but why are you sleeping here on the chair?" I ask. She clear her throat and adjusted herself on chair before speaking anything "I came to check on you and I don't know when I fall asleep on this chair."

"Ok, now you can go sleep in your room." I said. " Take it first. It will give relief to your throat." By saying that she slip a spoonful cough syrup in my mouth. It tastes disgusting but did not give any reaction to it. "Sara?" Mom said and hummed her.

"I am sorry for the... " She started her apology but I interrupted her. "Mom, please don't apologize because you and I, both know that if anything like this happens again, you are going to do same which you did today."

"And please don't blame yourself for my health. It was not your fault, I am not a kid that you'll take care of me. I am wholly responsible for my health. About big boss, give her some time. She will be fine and if required I'll talk to her." I added.

"I going out for some fresh air." By saying that move out of the house. Honestly I don't want to talk about that incident with mom, so to avoid It and to take fresh air I come outside. It is dark out here and everyone must be sleeping now as I couldn't see anyone. Only sound of owl and insects can be heard. I decided to go for a walk. "Sara" I heard someone calling me from my behind. I turn to look at him, he pulled me in his arms while hugging me tightly.

For few I was standing there stun and have no idea what just happened. He hide his face in the crock of my neck while giving shiver to back but at the same time warmth to me. "Agastya What.. are.. " "Shh.. Can you stay quite for a minute? You had a very rough day. You needed this." Agastya said and I don't know if he is talking about me or himself? But soon I found my arms wrapped around him.

And he is right, I needed this. I needed this warmth from him. So many things happened with me today ,first I got slapped by my mom, then crying for straight two hours, watching my father while I was unconscious, breaking down again when he left and now his arms around me and mine doing the same. A day with less ups and more downs.
