Ch-47 Everything is sorted out now

Sara

I woke up with a severe pain in my head and on the top of that I was not able to open my eyes. I don't know what's happening with me. I tried to move my hand but somebody was holding it. A panick rush through my body and because of that I tried to open my eyes again but in vain.

"Sara" I heard a familiar voice but because of the pain in my head I was not able to recognize the owner of it. Next second, I heard a sound of closing of door and the person who was holding my hand was no longer there.

After trying one more time I finally succeeded in opening my eyes, as I open them I saw a man approaching me in white coat through the door which is just opposite to my bed on which I am laying right now.

A lady, who is looking like a nurse follow the doctor from behind. The doctor ask me few questions like how I am feeling right now and do I remember anything about my accident.

I told him about the pain in my head while he checked on my heart beats through stethoscope after giving me some medicines. "I was talking to my friend and then I noticed a car approaching in our direction with very high speed. The driver was doing rash driving and I did the first thing that came in my mind. I just pushed my friend away from the reach of the car and before I could also move aside the car just hit me. I lost my senses just after that." I narrated the whole story to the doctor and realize my headache is no more now.

"Sara, your friend got a very brave and a good friend." He said with a smile. I don't know how to reply to that, so I decided to stay quiet. "Usually in these kind of situation, people try to save there life first instead of thinking about others." He said while making me embarrassed now. I nervously cleared my throat, not really used to of appreciations.

"Ok, now let me tell you about your injuries." He said while grabbing my attention. "You came here with head injury, two ribcages broken, your right side collar bone fractured and some bruises. After some tests, we get to know, you had a clot in your head. So you had two surgeries overall, one is of your head which was most critical one and second was for your ribcages. You have to be carefully about everything from food to exercise, mentally and physically both. You don't have to take any stress and take your medicines on time and eat healthy food only. Okay?" He said all of this in one go and I found myself nodding to me.

"From how long I am here like this?" I asked. "Today is your third day." He said while making me gasp in shock. I am laying here unconscious from three days? "Where's is my family? Did they know I am here?" I asked and again.

"Of course, they are waiting outside to meet you but first police will ask you some question about the accident. Are you ok to answer them?" He asked and I nodded, I will ask them about Prashant as well. After reminding me to take care he left with the nurse.

After a minute or two, Aakash enter the room with a constable in his uniform. He give me a sad smile and I can see pity on his face. I so much hate this. "How are you now?" He asked while taking a seat on a stool which is placed next to my hospital bed.

"Better." He nodded and after that turned professional as he asked me about the accident and few more questions related to it. After he was done with his interrogation and the constable write instantly whatever I speak, I asked him about Prashant.

"We went to arrest him at your house but he ran away but we arrested him within forty eight hours when he went to meet his family. And I put one more charge on him." He said while making me confused. "What?" I asked with a frown.

"Attempt to murder. He is the one who hit you with his car. I saw the video recording of nearby camera of that locality." He said. "What will happen to him now?" I asked. "He will suffer behind the bars for rest of his life and I think he will get rigorous imprisonment from court, all thanks to his long list of crimes." He said.
