***DON'T READ IF TRIGGER!!!***

He's running.

He thought it would be okay when he came back.

But it's Tom all over again.

But a much more slow process.

He just wanted to be part of a family for once and not feel like a screw up.

But of course, he some how messes up everything some how.

He some how makes it to the cove. He sighs. He walks over to a rock and sits on it.

The sky booms and it starts raining.

How cliche...

He paces his room.

His dad is overwhelming him. He keeps trying to make him feel more comfortable around. Hiccup can understand that but he is overdoing it.

He stops pacing, takes a deep breathe and walks down the stairs, hearing the squeaking of his prosthetic that he wears. He sees his dad at the table, rubbing his forehead.

When he sees Hiccup, he starts talking about how he shouldn't be so afraid of him and other adults.

Hiccup keeps trying to tell him that hes not but he feels uncomfortable.

Then the yelling starts.

Then Stoick does exactly what Hiccup was afraid of.

Hiccup is on the floor, holding his cheek, while Stoick stands there, looking shocked and looks at Hiccup.

"Hiccup..." Stoick whispers.

Hiccup scrambles up and runs out the door, tears falling down his face.

Stoick hates him.

But he ignored the calling of his name. He just keeps on running.

Hiccup puts his head in his hands. His elbows rest on his knees that are pulled up to his chest.

He starts crying.

Why do I have to ruin everything? He thought. I thought things were going to be okay. Does he even care for me?

All this happened because he couldn't stand up for himself and had gotten beat up. Because he was a nobody and nobody had cared.

He was on his own for so long and now is the time he finally breaks.

After years of holding in all those unshed tears, they finally are free. He feels even more useless now more than ever. He feels like he disappointed his father again.

He remembers the day he came back and they were home. Hiccup couldn't erase the smile off his face no matter what. But he wasn't complaining. They had talked that night. Hiccup loved it.

But when he went to sleep, he thought it was too good to be true. Nothing ever good happens to him.

Then they moved to Scotland for a year. They got closer and Hiccup was a whole lot more comfortable around him, even more adults but he still had those hesitant moments. But it was progress.

But then came this night. Things took a sharp turn for the worse. He knew it was too good to last. And he will go home and see Tom and he will beat the lights out of him. He will go to school and he will be picked on. He will starve and hide in the shadows, hoping to see the next day.
