Mackenzie's POV *Same night*

"Wait, wait. So, you just stood there in front of 500 people while the music played?" I asked laughing.

"Yep, Calum and Michael ended up coming over to help me. I mean our first headline show in a theatre or wherever it was was probably the worst one for me."

"Wow. I could never imagine doing what you guys do."

"It's easier for me now, I just kind of look into lights. It blocks out the crowd so I don't get so nervous." I tipped my ice cream dish up drinking the melted ice cream at the bottom until my dish was clean. I set it down with a satisfying sigh. "You really like ice cream don't you?" He laughed.

"Well, since the last time I had it. But seriously who doesn't love ice cream? I mean you gotta savor it. I mean how so many different companies make it taste so different but yet they are just all still so delicious!" He sat their laughing at my statement trying not to choke on his ice cream. I took my cup throwing it at him it then fell to the floor with a small clatter. "Stop it! Hey, I'm not always serious with things okay? I mean it's just when you think about it all ice cream is good."

"Just the emotion you put into that sentence and your face was almost like you were worshiping how good ice cream is." He said continuing to laugh.

"Oh shut up." I smiled. I stood up kneeling down to pick up the ice cream container. I was about to grab it when Luke swung his foot kicking it a couple tables down. I stood up smacking the back of his head. "Butthead." I said before walking over and picking it up and finally throwing it away. Luke then set his on the table. "I'm not throwing that away for you." I said standing there with my arms crossed.

"Aww I was hoping you'd be nice and do it for me."

"Get your butt off the chair and throw it in the garbage next to the fricken door."

"Ooh now your getting scary." He mocked. I rolled my eyes before heading towards the door, as I opened the door I heard the screeching of the chair on the tile floor and the sound of feet coming closer. I walked out and started heading towards home. I reached the end of the block before Luke managed to catch up with me, "took you long enough" I laughed,

"I walked slow."

"Why?"

"I admired the old buildings and the architecture that's being worn away and then eventually replaced by modern facing."

"Your starting to learn from me aren't you?" I smiled,

"Maybe." We crossed the street continuing to walk in the silence of the dark occasionally passing under a street light. "Doesn't the dark ever scare you, you know like walking alone at night?"

"But I'm not alone." I said smiling up at him.

"I mean in general." He said looking ahead.

"I mean it does scare you. But only if you let it, I just focus my mind on other things around me rather than the shadows and sounds that sound offset. I mean I always have my taser with me so if anything happens, plus I know how to defend myself."

"You have a taser?"

"Yea, my dad is a cop. Thank god he wasn't working that one night. I probably would never hear the end of it and be banned from the courtyard for a while. I mean my dad is probably gonna tell me off already for it being after 10:00."

"I can call One of my mates for a ride. It would get you home quicker."

"It's okay. We aren't that far. I'm like 15 minutes away from home." He stopped walking which made me turn around I saw him giving me a "really, you'd rather walk home?" Look, I sighed "fine." I backed up leaning against the wall of the building we were in front of as Luke pulled out his phone.
