⏰Luke's POV⏰

I was walking around downtown like I usually do at night when not many people are out. It's a time where I can just let go of my self and enjoy the outdoors. Without being crowded by some fans or paps. I walked along the beach for a little but before walking over towards the schools community art yard I had heard about. I saw flashing lights and I stayed behind a corner of the school I looked towards the cop car and saw the cop and a girl. She looked familiar, as she was being led to the car the street light shone on her face.

It was the girl from the concert. She looked terrified, almost like she was about to cry. He loaded a bag into the passenger seat of the car and drove off. I quickly ran after the cop car following it towards the station.

I reached the station panting, hot and sweaty. I opened the door to the station. I walked up to the desk.

"May I help you sir?"

" Uh, Im looking for a girl that was just brought in here a while ago. Brown hair..blue eyes,"

"Sir, unless you are immediate family of the girl i can not let her go."

"Please, she-" I heard footsteps and looked seeing Mackenzie

"Miss Wilson, unless you can provide a city issued permit for the schools community yard within 24 hours there will be a serious fine issued." a Policeman told her.

"Yes sir. I understand." She said. She signed a sheet of paper and looked up at the lady at the desk, "Mrs. A, could you please not mention this to my dad."

"Of course i wont sweetie. Ill also make sure it doesnt get on your record, you've got alot going for you. I want to see you get far, im not letting a misunderstanding get on your record." She said looking at the officer.

"Thank you so much." She smiled.

"See you probably tomorrow Kenzie." She waved as Mackenzie walked out. I followed her out seeing she was already a little ways down the block.

"Hey wait!" I said jogging up to her.

"What?"

"What were you doing in the school yard this late?"

"None of your business. How did you know I was even here?"

"I was walking around downtown. I do that usually here and there late to get away from people. Why were you there?"

She sat down on a bench. I sat down next to her.

"Why do you care?"

"Because you seem like you have some if on your mind. Also if I didn't care would I have rescued you from and overnight stay at the jail?"

"I Just go there when i'm stressed or something, even though my family and friends are convinced that art is the thing that is stressing me out because im so caught up in trying to make perfect pieces for competitions and fairs. Plus, you didn't rescue me. The lady at the desk was Skyler and Meghan's mom, she convinced them to let me go. I don't even know why you showed up."

"neither do I honestly, i just felt like i would've been doing something wrong if i didn't."

"Well, I guess I appreciate the attempt." She sighed getting up as a car approached.

"Nice seeing you again, I guess." She smiled before walking over to the car getting in, i could see the other person, looked like a boy her age. She was arguing with him a little it looked like as the car began driving away. Probably her boyfriend, no doubt she wouldn't have one. But I wasn't ready to leave Mackenzie out of my life, I wanted to know more about her.
