Mackenzie's POV*February 10th 2013* (Mack's outfit attached)

I walked through the gateway of school heading towards my locker. I saw a group of girls and I immediately knew. I spun around on my heels heading towards the office.

When I reached it Mrs. Barker smiled at me "hello dear, what can I do for you today Mackenzie?"

"Could I get a sick day?"

"The boys in that crowd trying to get something outta ya again?" I nodded. "I'll get right on it one moment dear. Would you like either Skyler or Meg to be released as well with you?"

"No, I'm alright on my own but thank you though." She printed out a slip and marked my "sick" attendance.

"Have a safe trip home dear, hope to see you tomorrow."

"Thank you Mrs. Barker." I walked out of the office making my way to the parking lot, walking down to the sidewalk and the bus stop.

"Mack!" I heard Ashton's voice calling me. I stopped for a moment before continuing to the bus stop and sitting on the bench. In a moment or two he was sitting next to me.

"Why are you guys all of a sudden trying to push something? i dont like being forced to try and make a decision."

"Everyone else is, but im not."

"Did you listen to yourself last night even? You were the one who was trying to get me to make a decision right then and there!"

"I just want to know why,"

"Why what?"

"Why you're so hesitant on everything."

"I just had a bad past in relationships is all. I mean it was two, one of them I wouldn't even count but I mean, they made it hard to trust guys for me in a relationship anymore. I mean It just sucks to be alone, even when there are people all around you. It's almost like they are mocking you. Like I have someone and you don't, you're sitting all alone and I'm not. Your wondering about the world while I'm living in it. You're thinking about the past and I'm living in the moment." I sighed. "After someone hurts you, you're not the same anymore."

"I know how it goes. I mean now trying to find a girl is almost close to impossible now because in a little bit i'll be known as the famous Ashton irwin not Sydney native quirky and crazy Ashton Irwin."

"That's a good thing i mean you can stay away from heartbreak longer."

"Sometimes heartbreak ends up being a good thing."

"How so?"

"Its a chance for someone to try and heal it. Maybe the person who broke it or someone new, but it's a chance to learn to trust. People aren't always willing like you but that just shows they are afraid of things but if you don't do something that scares you, you won't ever get anywhere in life. You're always going to be stuck waiting for the good things to be offered right to you. But sometimes you gotta step up and do the work yourself. Because Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life."

We sat in silence for a bit, me trying to process everything he just sputtered out at the moment. "You dont have to think about it all right now i'm just saying if you never challenge the broken heart pain that one thing that will stop you. I mean we all deal with pain at some point but just letting it take over you're life is not the way to go with it." He smiled as he stood up,

"Can you keep this talk a secret?"

"Of course, hey why dont we be each others advice givers? I mean we seem to experience the same things and we seem to help eachother. Ill even be your shoulder to cry on when you're embarrassed to go to Sky or Meg."
