Chapter 20, Part 2- ILY2M

I’ve been in the car for about half an hour holding onto Sam’s hand the whole way. Once we stopped at a red light he spoke.

“Here, put this on.” He said handing me a bandana.

“What’s this for?” I asked confused.

“Put it over your eyes.” He said as he helped me.

“What for?” I asked whining a bit.

“So when we get to the place, it’s a surprise.” He said giving me a quick kiss before a honk interrupted us.

“Oh shit.” He said worried.

“What?” I asked looking around but only seeing black.

“The light was green for a little while.“ He said chuckling.

“Dork.”

I had waited another ten minutes before I felt his car come to a complete stop. He took off his seat belt and got out of the car. I could hear footsteps going around the car before he opened my door. He grabbed my hand and led me.

“I tried my best to think of something romantic to do on our one month. I hope you love this.” He said before untying my blind fold. Right before I was able to see anything, he whispered in my ear.

“Je T’aime.”

“What?” I asked confused.

“It means I love you in French.” I felt my heart fill with warmth as I felt a tear form in the corner of my eye. I tried to hold it in but it rolled now my cheek. I felt his lips kiss my tear right before it fell.

“Why are you crying?” He asked concerned.

“Because I am the luckiest person in the world to have you as my boyfriend and I love you too.” I said feeling multiple tears stream down my eyes. I wiped some of them away until I felt my blind fold come of completely. I gasped in amazement.

It was a forest. The green grass was beautiful, it moved as the wind slowly brushed it. It was long and made the forest look peaceful. Along with the grass grew blue flowers. They were amazing; I had never seen a flower so beautiful. The peddles were a dark purple while the stem was a natural green.  The trees were beautiful. They were tall and had light pink flowers blossoming on top, and to make things even more beautiful was the lake.

My eyes opened in amazement as my mouth opened in awe.

The lake was absolutely stunning. The water was so blue. It was a dark blue and it was hard to believe that the water could look this natural. The lake shimmered with the reflection of the sun. I could see a long, light line going across the lake. I could see the dark reflection of the green trees. I walked forward and looked deeply into it.
