Chapter 29

Eric’s P.O.V *One Week Later*

The smell of a hospital was overwhelming. The smell of alcohol and medicine filled every inch of the hospital. The thought of having to come to work here every day was scary. Having to work at a place where people are consistently dying.

Every open door showed a crying family, a sick elderly woman, or pregnant woman. Doctors were running around yelling for the nurse’s help. It was scary how busy this place is.

I walked up to a nurse with long curly blonde hair. She leaned against the wall chewing a piece of gum. She looked very unapproachable but right now I didn’t care, I needed to get this over with.

“Hello.” I said in a low voice. She turned to me and smiled. Her eyes became bright and her facial expression went from unkind to joyful.

“Hi, may I help you?” Her voice was soft and gentle.

“Yes, I was wondering if you could tell me where I could find Priscilla Monroe.” I said as I looked down at the piece of paper that had her name on it.

“She’s down the hall, the last room to the right.” She said as she pointed to room 607.

“Thank you.” I said politely as I walked down the hall. Every step scared me; it meant I was closer to the girl who almost ruined my relationship with Sam. I loved him and she was jealous, jealous enough to threaten me and beat me into staying away from him. She was evil but I knew why she did it. She loved him.

607. I was now standing in front of her room. I wasn’t sure what I was going to say but I knew that as soon as I see her I will know what to say.  I was afraid but I know she couldn’t do anything to me now. I breathed in then opened the door.

She was sitting down on the hospital bed with her leg up in a cast and a neck brace. Her eyes were both black and she had bruises all over her arm. She looked like she was in pain. I started to feel guilty. She just wanted Sam back but what she did was completely out of line. She had balloons and get well soon cards all over the place. People actually like her?

She turned her head and her eyes widened, she winced from the pain but shock was still written on her bruised face. She looked like she was afraid and unsecure.

“What are you doing here?” She asked as she tried to adjust herself.

“I came here to see how you were doing.”

“Why would you do that? Don’t you hate me for what I’ve done?”  She said as she turned off the television in her room. She pressed the help button on her control then a nurse walked in. She tookt h food tray away and closed the door.

“So you came to check up on me? Is this some kind of set up to have a gang of girls beat me up, Round two?” She said as she covered her arms under the hospital blanket.

“No and for the record I had no idea that had happened until Sam told me that night.” I saw her eyes look down and she sighed.

“Why the fuck would Sam do something like that!?  You’re not that special!” She said as her voice became louder. I’m the mature one, I’m staying calm. I know she won’t do anything, whether she was trapped on that bed or not.

“You were messing with our relationship; I had never done anything to you.” I kept my voice low but deep to show how serious I was being.

“What do you have that I don’t have, I’m a girl for god sakes, he was straight before you went and turned him into a fag.” She practically had venom dripping from her mouth.

“Listen Priscilla, whatever happened between you and Sam was in the past. He doesn’t love you anymore, why can’t you accept that?” I stepped closer to her.

“Because you don’t deserve someone as amazing as him. He broke my heart and I didn’t even know why. I didn’t do anything wrong!” She was screaming now. I flinched but I didn’t move.

“He told you what was wrong, he stopped loving you because you ignored him, to flirt with Adam, he told me that.” She went silent for a moment then a tear fell from her eyes.

“I didn’t mean to cheat on him!” She screamed as she sobbed. She cheated on him?

“I never told him! I couldn’t hurt him.” She said in a low voice.

“Well what then?” Was all I said,

“You’re right, I don’t deserve him, you do.” She said as she began to cry.

“You don’t deserve him but one day you will find someone who is special and perfect for you. Every person has someone else, where ever they may be, there is someone out there to fill the void in your heart, you haven’t found him yet but one day you will.” I said as I sat at the end of her bed.

“No I won’t because I’m a horrible person.” She continued to cry. Once she calmed down I spoke to her again.

“Your choices may be horrible, but you will grow out of it. You can’t hate yourself, don’t look back on your past, look forward, see what great things you can do in your future but you have to let everything go.” She stopped crying and moved forward. She outstretched her arms to me. I leaned over and hugged her.

“I’m so sorry for doing what I did. I’m so so sooo sorry, I wish I could take everything back.” She held onto me for a while and then she pulled away. “I’m leaving.” She said with a frown.

“Where to?” I asked.

“With my dad, out in San Francisco.” She said as she rubbed her nose. I hugged her again and then laughed a bit and then she laughed too.

“I’m sorry.” She said as she wiped her eyes.

“It’s ok.” I walked away from her. I stopped before I closed the door. “Good luck Priscilla.” Was all I said before she smiled at me? I closed the door, leaving behind the one person who almost ruined everything. She was gone now. Forever.

I know this chapter sucked but the next chapter is the last one, it will be the last chapter mixed with the epilogue. Well please vote and comment!!!!!!
