Chapter 21- ILY2M

            “Honey I’m home.” I walked away from the kitchen to great him. My man, my husband.

“Oh, I’m glad you’re home food is ready. And I thought you would be the one cooking for me.” I said laughing. We walked into the kitchen where the chicken was done. I poured him a glass of Pepsi and passed him a plate with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a big slab of chicken. He inhaled the aroma as he smiled.

“Kids, dinner is ready.” I yelled from downstairs. Down came Emily, Jason, and Daniel. They were so adorable.

“Hi daddy.” They said in unison. I smiled and began to serve them there dinner. I sat down with all of them and smiled, watching them all eat contently.

Suddenly the floor began to shake and I screamed. I got up and grabbed the kids and then realized i didn’t see Sam. I took them under a door frame.

“Wait here kids, I’m going to go get your father.” I ran in in fear. I looked around and the floor was still shaking. It felt like it was never going to end. I ran as I saw the giant mirror fall forward and almost hit me. I fell backwards on some small pieces of glass. I whined in pain but I picked myself up and ran around the giant house.

“Sam, Sam! Sam please tell me you’re ok! SAM!” I screamed as I felt hopeless and lost. Every piece of me began to fade, my heart was just another piece of my body, it meant nothing to me. I had no reason to stay happy. I ran back to where I left the kids and found that they weren’t there. I felt tears beginning to run down my cheeks. I ran up the stairs and saw nothing. The floor was still shaking and every part of me slowly became useless. I was crying and I felt numb. I was moving but I felt as if nothing around me was happening.

Suddenly I saw a shadow appear in front of me but from a distance. I smiled and sniffled as I realized it was Sam. I ran towards him yelling. There was a bright light around him and he held his arms out to me. As I reached closer but something didn’t feel right. I saw the smile on his face fade to fearful look. He was trying to speak but no words came out.

“Sam, Sam what’s wrong?” I asked as I ran to him. He never got any closer. It seemed as if he were getting further and further away. Is hand reached out and it felt like it was closer now. I reached out but I couldn’t reach. Suddenly a tear escaped his eyes and he closed them. He looked away.
