Archie walked around his room, not sure what to think.

Why did Jughead walk her home? Did he have feelings for Betty still?

Was Jughead the real reason Betty didn't want to move in together?

He sighed.

He called Betty's phone.

No answer.

He put on his coat and walked out the door.

He walked down Elm Street on his way to Pop's to cool down.

Then, he saw the shadow of someone in front of him. That's odd.

He kept walking, thinking it must have been his imagination.

When he reached the street corner, he was surprised.

The man in disguise knocked him on to the ground, kicking him.

Archie was too weak to fight back. He couldn't move, he couldn't yell.

He laid on the sidewalk in pain.

The disguised man ran away quickly following the attack.

Betty woke up the next morning, heading over to Riverdale High to work on the case. She hadn't told Jughead she was going, because she was sure he had things to do. Plus, he had a girlfriend who probably wondered where he had been going.

She walked inside the Riverdale Choice, and to her surprise, Jughead had beat her there.

He looked exhausted.

"Jughead?" She asked, confused.

"Oh, Betty, hey-"

"How long have you been here?"

"Oh, uh, since I walked you home last night. I didn't want to stop working on the case."

"You look exhausted. What about Tabitha?" She asked.

"I told her I was staying the night at Archie's to help him with something."

"So you're lying to her? I don't want you to ruin your relationship over this."

"Betty, don't worry about it. This is more important."

She sat across from him, "Well, did you find anything?"
