"So you're telling me that the Trash Bag Killer came and attacked your grandmother in her room? How did he even get in the house?" Jughead asked Cheryl, sitting across from her in Thornhill.

Toni, who sat beside Cheryl, spoke up, "He found a way inside, Jughead. It's simple!"

"I'm so sorry, Cheryl. I just don't understand his motive.." Betty added, sitting in the armchair beside Jughead's armchair.

Jughead looked over at her, "If this is too much for you, I can work on this alone.."

"No, I'm fine Jughead," Betty nodded to him.

"It's clear you have a past with this disgusting excuse for a human being, Cousin. Do you feel comfortable telling us?" Cheryl asked kindly. She didn't want to pressure her.

"I-I was kidnapped by him back in Quantico and held prisoner for two weeks. He almost killed me," She told her cousin and Toni.

"Oh my god, Betty.." Toni replied in shock.

"Dear cousin, that's horrid.."

"I know.. And the worst part is he's still out there and going after people I love."

"You love Nana Rose?" Jughead questioned.

Betty rolled her eyes.

"I promise you, I will be here to help you every step of the way if you'll let me," Cheryl replied, hand on Betty's leg.

"Thank you, Cheryl," Betty smiled.

Betty and Jughead rode home from Cheryl's in the truck.

Their was dead silence. It was odd.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you," Jughead sighed, breaking the silence.

"There's nothing you could have done," She held back the tears, looking over at him.

"I promise you, no matter what, I will not let him hurt you again. Okay?" He assured her.

"I know you won't, Juggie," She smiled.

"Poor Nana Rose," Jughead sighed.

"First Archie, now her. Why is he going after all of these people in my life?" She questioned.

"To get to you, which is why you can't let him," He told her.

"It's going to be hard now that Glen's my partner on the case.."

"If that asshole does anything, let me know, okay?" He asked her.

"I will, Jug."

"What happened between you guys anyways?" He asked.

"When I was back in Quantico, he was my partner on solving cases. We were friends with benefits, and then I got demoted to cold cases and he became my boss. When I came back to Riverdale, I called things off. For good."

Jughead nodded, "When I was dating Tabitha, I was constantly thinking about you. You guys are really similar, and I didn't realize I just missed you."

Betty responded, "Archie and I were only together because we had this hole in our hearts. I know he still has feelings for Veronica, no doubt. And I of course had feelings for you," She laughed.

"Who would've thought ten years ago that this would be our lives," Jughead laughed.

The next morning, Jughead walked into Pop's for his shift.
