Who is she?
She is consuming,
she draws you in.
A dimpled smile,
rosy cheeks,
with promises of adventure
and acceptance.
She listens,
she understands,
she's there when the road
gets rough.
Her words,
they're laced with honey,
a divine melody.
She moves your soul,
she tilts your world,
she makes you believe all your dreams can come true.

Who is she?
She is the fruit
who tempted Eve,
so fine and alluring,
her danger concealed with beauty.
She will make you love her,
call for her,
make your every breath for her.
When you've eaten,
when you want more,
that's when the truth sets in.
You realize who she is,
and you run.

Who is she?
She is poison,
she wrecks your life.
You think she's the savior,
but she's the villain,
out to ruin
and rule.
She lies with a sweetened tongue,
to get where she wants to go.
She ensnares those she desires,
and lays ruin to all they love.
Only when it's too late
can they escape,
telling tales of the demon
who uses friendship
to destroy,
who is unworthy of any love.

Who is she?
She is me,
a girl who always sought to be a princess,
but one day awoke to realize
that she is not a princess at all,
but everyone else's villain.
She doesn't know why,
doesn't see things as they do,
and with each tale she hears,
finds it harder to see the truth.

Is she the doe-eyed princess,
or the two-faced demon?
Maybe she is both,
in one way or another,
but to some degree,
aren't we all?
A little good,
a little bad,
full of things we don't want others to know?
Some keep their demons hid,
some have no choice but to let them show.
It's all a matter of perception,
but none of us are white as snow.
