As long as you live,
I don't know that true love exists for me.
My heart feels only yours,
you are the lighthouse in my raging sea.
When the storm waves rise,
and they threaten to drag me under,
you are the beacon of light guiding,
keeping me from going asunder.
The dark clouds have risen,
they block out all light,
when my hope feels gone
you flash in the night.
Your words give me strength;
I push on stronger.
Because you believe in me
I know I can last a little longer.
The water fills my nose
and I find it hard to breathe,
but you glimmer again,
a quiet reprieve.
My lighthouse you are,
shining in storm and ease.
Guiding me home,
keeping me calm when panics seize.
As long as you live,
you'll be my true love;
you'll never hurt me,
not even when I shove.
Others may come,
but they'll never surpass,
because what we have
will always last.
