one day we will hug
for the very last time,
then I will forget,
the feel of your arms around mine.
the sound of your voice,
the smile on your face;
they'll become blurry visions,
difficult to place.

losing you,
but that doesn't make it easy,
the fact that it's true.
watching you grow
more tired by the day,
it breaks my heart,
seeing you slip away.
you'll always be there,
glowing in me.
for this I'm thankful;
your personality.
when you're gone I'll look
in the mirror and smile,
because even though you're gone,
it will only be a while.-m
