*AN*((Hey guys I'm sorry! So much shit adn i've been busy. Here you are, I'm posting 3 or more chapters before today is over.))

>Be Gamzee<

So here’s a little update on the past few years. Karbro and I moved out into our own apartment shortly after senior graduation. We both take online classes and a few on campus, we’re both working towards an art major, Karkat’s also working on literature. For about a year and a half after graduation, Karkat and I had agreed not to let romance get in the way of our schoolwork and each other. Unfortunately, I found myself falling in love with one of my best pals. I haven’t acted on it very much though; I don’t want to hurt Karkat. Ever since Sollux ditched Karkat 3 years ago, he’s been kinda over the whole ‘Love’ thing.

Right now it’s Friday and I was just getting back to the apartment. I found Karkat on the couch curled in a blanket like he usually does on weekends. He was home early though…

“Hey bro, what’s up?” I asked as I set my stuff aside in my room. He didn’t respond.

“Why are you home so early?” I joined him on the couch.

“Didn’t feel like going to my last class.” He responded quietly.

“You okay man?”

“I’m fine.” He snapped back almost immediately. Something  Karbro is very good at.

“Well, since you don’t have anything to do tonight, maybe you-”

“What makes you think I don’t have anything to do huh?” He growled.

“Well… you usually just sit her in the apartment and watch romcoms. I was think you’d wanna come out tonight with Tavros and I.” I chuckled.

“Yeah sure, I wanna spend my precious night with you and your little fuck buddy. I think I’m good.” He growled again.

“Damn man, uncalled for!” I chuckled. “One, Tavbro and I aren’t even dating and two, we’re going out to a new bar that opened up.” He pulled out the fake IDs we still had from high school.

“Don’t you remember what happened last time?” Karkat nearly screamed. “It’s all your fault...”

“Come on man, I apologized like, a million times.” I rapped my arm around Karkat’s shoulder and pulled him close. “I’m sorry Karbro, just come with us tonight. It’ll be so fucking fun!”

“Fine…” Karkat groaned after a minute to think.

“Hell yeah!” I jumped from my position on the couch after hugging Karkat.

What am I getting myself into?

I dressed up a little from what I usually do. I mean, if I’m going out I might as well not look like a huge pile of shit. I dressed in black skinny jeans, a long sleeved black shirt with a red t-shirt over top, my new black, red, and white converse, and I even took out my brown contacts and wore my glasses for a change. I personally, thought I looked pretty good. I slid on my black beanie over my messy dark brown hair and fixed a few of my piercings. On my 18th birthday, Gamzee and I went out with Tavros, Dave, and John to get the piercings and tattoos our parents never let us have. I got one on my nose, a second pair above the original ones on my ears, and snake bites. I got a tattoo of a semi colon (;) on my left wrist and a cancer sign on my right foot. Back in senior year of high school, we decided that in order to stay together as a group, we’d all get out zodiac signs tattooed on our right feet.

As I got dressed, I looked my bare chest in the mirror. My fair skin was littered with dark bruises and a few scars. I reached up to my neck and grasped the cancer necklace I still wore. I looked at in the mirror; it still glimmered in the light. The way the light reflected off the metal reminded me of my mother’s smile. I winced as I heard Gamzee call out for me.
