How could hearing his ridiculous words be this annoying?
Does he possess the power of annoyance? Is that his ultimate skill? Because I'll doubt if it's not, since he is the second one in this world to get on my nerves this much.
Seleste was the first one, while Gods and Goddesses will always be on top.
No wonder the code of this Information Guild seems to be made with so much stupidity... the leader itself is foolish.
A coffee in a bar...? Really? Anyone who's intelligent enough to hear someone saying that to the counter would take it suspiciously.
And acting to not die in my hands won't work. He must be a good actor but I'm not gonna buy it. It's quite irritating.

It wasn't my intention to show my face to him but I had a hunch that doing this would make the negotiation run smoothly.

Third Person's POV
After a few minutes, Cadmus calmed down.
It was quite overwhelming for him to see the person he was dying to look for...is here, sitting in front of him.
'All hail to Gods! That psycho won't have the reason to kill me now!' His thoughts right now.
"I still can't believe it. Is that really you Kartara?" Cadmus seriously asked.
"Are you questioning my identity now?" Yveria answered his question with a question too. She doesn't want another human in this world to know her existence.
"Ah no. No.No." Aligagang sagot ng informant.
"It's just that... you're kind of different from the last time I saw you... ah haha...you know ahmm." Cadmus awkwardly said at napakamot na lang ito sa batok.
"I'm not doubting your identity because an existence like yours is exceptional. No one could afford to do so anyway. It's just that your hair is different, the way you talk, your expression, your actions and...and not only that, your aura is sort of...you know...dark. The last time I saw you it was lighter and brighter. Also..." Nag-aalinlangan na putol ng lalaki sa kanyang sasabihin.
"Also?" Yveria plainly asks.
Right now, Yveria is trying to sound a bit nicer. Although, it's harder than ending someone's life for her.
'Carrion told me she rarely socializes with anyone and stroll outside the Dukedom. He must have some kind of strong connection with Kartara to notice this much. It's good tho that he's better than what I've expected.' Yveria thought.
"You know that I have a high level of mana sensitivity right? Kartara... your mana is gone. It's like someone took it away from you. " He suddenly has a confused and worried look.
"It's hard to explain but after the incident..." Yumuko ang dalaga at kunwari'y bumagsak ang dalawang balikat nito, like she remembered something tragic and it's making her feel down.
"Oh God! forgive me! I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I won't ask any more of what you've been through since I know I don't have the right to do so. I would also like to apologize for always making fun of you whenever I have the chance in the past. Ah, don't worry I'll never do that again." He's being defensive now.
'Since that obsessive psycho will surely kill me if I do that to you again.' Cadmus thought.
'I didn't know I'm capable of doing these sh*t acts. But if he did ask more I'll just break his neck and proceed to another plan.' That is what Yveria thinks at this moment.
Yveria gets annoyed with Cadmus since he always picks on Kartara before, whenever he had the chance. Yveria's body and soul is reacting to Cadmus' past actions towards Kartara, na dapat ay noon pa naramdaman ni Kartara. Noong panahong binubully sya nito.
Yveria's half soul, that's currently in Kartara's body, never responds negatively to Cadmus' actions since it's pure light. Kartara only feels positive emotions, while Yveria is the opposite. But, since Yveria is the original owner of the souls, she can have a glimpse of positive emotions but she got used to the negative side, hence, she buried all those positive emotions until it vanishes for good.

Cadmus POV
Curse me for making her feel bad.
It must have been devastating seeing your loved one die in front of you.
That must be a disastrous experience for her, not to mention her parents weren't the only thing she lost that day.
Her mana before was overflowing that I almost die the first time I met her because I used my ability to sense magic, it exceeded the capacity of mana I can detect.
But now, all that's left is this dark energy. No sign of power. Although...I can't deny that she's more dangerous this way. Hindi ko maipaliwanag but this must be a defensive mechanism of her body, to emit the aura that can scare the people who have the potential to hurt her since it lost its prowess.
I don't know but it's such a relief when I found out that she's Kartara. Napanatag ako na hindi totoong Assassin ang kaharap ko o tauhan ng mayayabang na nobilities na yon.
She's powerless now. I have to immediately report this to that psychotic cousin of mine.
He will surely go after her.

"What's your plan now, My Lady?" I asked nang makabalik na ito.
"We're heading to Karsen Household." She simply answered.
"Where exactly do want to go, My Lady? The residence in the Satie Capital or in the main house, the dukedom?" Tanong naman ni Mr. Carrion.
"Territory of Karsen, the dukedom." Maikling tugon lang nito.
