Chapter 51

Third Person's POV

If there are gods and goddesses from the heavenly realm, the demon realm has seven loyal servants. They are called 'The Seven Loyal Servants of The Demon Lord' because they are the most powerful demons after the Demon Lord itself. Their power can match those Gods and Goddesses in the heavenly realm but it is a rare case for them to meet after the fight decades ago. It is just that humans treated demons indifferently, that's why heavenly beings shine more in the human realm.

Demons outnumbered heavenly beings but it doesn't matter since ordinary demons are nothing to the gods and goddesses. Ang katapat lamang nila sa lakas ay ang mga loyal servants. Ngunit nasaan na nga ba ang mga loyal servants na iyon?

Ang una at ang ikaapat hanggang ikapitong loyal servants ng demon lord ay nagkalat kung saan man nila gustong mamalagi. Relax pa ang mga ito dahil hindi pa lubusang narerecover ng demon lord ang kanyang pisikal na anyo. Hinahayaan lang naman ito ng demon lord dahil alam niyang malapit nang dumating ang araw ng kanyang pagbabalik. At Isa pa sa rason kung bakit hindi matagpuan sa isang lugar ang mga loyal servants ng demon lord ay dahil hindi nila kayang magsama-sama sa isang lugar ng hindi nagpupustahan kung sino ang unang masasawi sa kanila kapag nagkaroon muli ng labanan sa pagitan nila at ng mga diyos at diyosa. Madalas ay humahantong ito sa alitan kaya minamubuti na lamang muna nila ang lumayo sa isat-isa ngunit…

Ang ikalawa at ikatlong loyal servants ay nandito ngayon sa palasyo ng Karsen. Ang ikatlong loyal servant ay walang kaalam alam sa tunay na katauhan ng taong kanyang sinusundan habang ang ikalawang loyal servant naman ay nagtatangka lamang na pigilan ang ikatlong servant na iyon.

"Where do you think you're going, Monroe?" Matigas na usal ng Duke Vanaxin ng mabilis na naglakad patungo sa direksyon ng bagong Dukesa ng Karsen si Monroe.

"She's leaving. I have to greet her personally. You know." Walang pakialam na wika ni Monroe habang hindi inaalis ang tingin sa bagong Dukesa na paalis na ng ceremonial hall.

Sinusundan ni Monroe ang bagong Dukesa na lumabas ng ceremonial hall matapos ang speech nito. Ang Duke Vanaxin naman ay pinipilit lang na pigilan ito. Duke Vanaxin knows that he cannot release a dark mana here since there are other people inside this palace that can detect it, not to mention the demon lord's daughter is here as well.

"You punk! What do you want from her?" Bwisit na tanong ni Duke Vanaxin at sinabayan na lang sa paglalakad si Monroe dahil alam niyang hindi papaaawat ito.

Nasa labas na sila ng ceremonial hall at kasulukuyang tinatahak ang hallway na dinaanan din ng bagong Dukesa ng Karsen.

"Aren't you going to use your dark mana against me?" Nakakalokong sambit ni Monroe ng mahalatang hindi na nag-insist ang Duke na pigilan siya.

"F*CK off. Answer me before I deliver you directly in front of the Demon Lord." Malamig na tugon ng Duke Vanaxin. Ngayon ay naramdaman na ni Monroe na hindi nagbibiro ang ikalawang loyal servant.

"Tsk. Calm down. Why are you so serious there? She's just a human—

The Duke gave him a death glare.

"Okay okay I don't want to meet the demon lord today. Here's the thing, this lady… I mean that the new Duchess of this Karsen Dukedom was the one who killed my underlings." Monroe sighs but what even shocked him is that the man beside him isn't even surprised.

The Duke just gave Monroe a 'that's it'  look.

"You aren't curious of how that fragile-looking lady could kill my people? Tsk. Akala ko pa naman interesado ka sa taong 'yan. Seems like I was wrong. Well then, if that's the case you won't interfere with what I am going to do with that girl, right?" Sambit ni Monroe at nagsimula nang dumilim ang ekspresyon nito.

Monroe is very certain that she's the lady she was looking for. Hindi maaring magkamali ang kanyang mahika sa paghahanap sa babaeng ito at sa tuwing naalala niya kung gaano kalaking pinsala ang naidulot nito sa kanyang alagad ay talagang umiinit ang kanyang ulo.

"Uhum okay. How certain are you that this Lady was the one who killed your underlings?" Kung kanina ay medyo kunot ang noo ng Duke Vanaxin aba'y ngayon ay relax na ang ekspresyon nito. Inilagay pa nga nito ang kanyang dalawang kamay sa likuran at komportableng naglakad kasabay ni Monroe.

Habang si Monroe naman ay umarko na ang kilay.

'What's wrong with him?' Monroe thought.

"Because when I locate the person who massacred my underlings the night I sent them to get some valuables from the traveling merchant, the clues are all pointing to this Lady. Furthermore, there was a lone survivor that night and he informed me about that matter. I visited the area and I couldn't even speak a word. My underlings are brutally killed even the monster that I have sent died. The core of the monster was also stolen. Who would not be mad by it? I need funds for my tower. Those dumbass bandits are assets to me." Mahabang paliwanag ni Monroe.

"Haven't you heard of the saying 'you reap what you sow'? You're talking as if you didn't do anything wrong and it's a normal thing to send a high level monster. That might be a punishment for you. You should fund your tower righteously." Wika ng Duke at ngumisi pa nga ito.

"Tsk. We are demons and you expect me to do good deeds? You're also talking as if you didn't steal a human body for decades just to live in silence in this human realm. Righteous my ass." Monroe stated and he almost rolled his eyes.

'I thought he found out about her connection with the Demon Lord. This stupid Monroe. I was worrying for nothing.' Duke Vanaxin thought.

"Do what you want. I will not interfere but I am warning you… do not provoke her and do not hurt her because the moment you lay your hands on her will be the moment of your end." Duke Vanaxin said as he vanished in Monroe's eyes.

Napatanga na lang si Monroe sa kanyang narinig dahil hindi niya ito maintindihan. Duke Vanaxin would not spout nonsense all of the sudden and Monroe knew that but… he shrugged it off. He wants to avenge his underlings and the assets he had lost.

Monroe continued chasing after the new Duchess. Kaunti na lang ay maabutan na niya ito ngunit may biglang humarang sa kanya.

"Pagbati para sa minamahal naming bisita, batid ho namin na gusto ninyong makausap ng maayos ang aming Dukesa ngunit siya ho ay pansamantala muna na humihingi ng kaunting oras upang makapagpahinga. Maari ho muna kayong maghintay sa guest room at kapag handa na ang Dukesa ay amin na kayong tatawagin." Nakayukong wika ng maid na humarang kay Monroe.

'I didn't notice this maid's presence, how unusual.' Monroe thought.

"Young Lady, the Duchess and I are friends. Mayroon lamang kaming mahalagang pag-uusapan." Sagot naman ni Monroe.

"F*ck." Mahinang bulong ng maid.

"What? Did you just curse me!?" Inis na wika ni Monroe.

"Hala hindi ho." Pagtanggi naman ng maid at iniangat na ang tingin nito.

"Well then, padaanin mo ako. You are wasting my time." Matalim na tinitigan nito ang maid. Akala niya ay yuyuko na lamang ang maid ngunit malamig lamang nitong sinalubong ang kanyang tingin.

Then the maid uttered…

"You are also wasting my time."

Gagamitin na sana ni Monroe ang kanyang itim na mahika sa maid dahil sobrang nagmamatigas ito nang biglang may pigurang sumulpot sa kanyang likuran. Monroe noticed it immediately but it was too late for him to dodge the person's attack from behind.

"Nuisance." Rinig ni Monroe bago siya tuluyang bumagsak sa malamig na sahig ng hallway ng palasyo.

"I told you to not show yourself to anyone. What do you think you're doing, Ayazumi?" It was the Duchess, Yveria, that attacked Monroe from behind.

"Apologies, Young Lady Yveria. Mukha kasing mapanganib ang taong ito so I thought…" Wika naman ni Ayazumi. Siya ang humarang kay Monroe at nagpanggap na maid.
