Carrion’s POV
We've just arrived at the Karsen Dukedom's palace, but these young lads don't recognize me, and they're refusing to open the gate for us.
Marahil ay pinalitan na nga ng Countess Seleste ang lahat ng tauhan sa palasyong ito, napaka-sakim talaga ng kontesa na iyon.
"Don't you recognize me? I am the former butler of this dukedom." Sambit ko sa harap ng dalawang guwardiya ng gate.
“Take a step back, old man. Isa sa bilin ng dukesa na huwag papasukin ang kung sino-sino lang sa palasyo. We don't want to be punished just because we let someone who claims to be the former butler of this Dukedom.” Sabi ng isa sa mga guwardiya na mukhang bata pa. He even attempted to touch the scabbard of the sword placed on his left waist as a warning for me.
"Alas! You have no respect for the elderly. Where did that countess get you? You don't deserve to be a guard of this house and what did you say? Duchess? The only heir of this dukedom will be the only child of the late duke and duchess. None of the relatives of the lords and madams could claim it unless the heir herself gave it." Banas na sita ko sa mga walang galang na ito.
Walang sinuman ang pwedeng umangkin sa Dukedom na ito. Wala. Hindi ako papayag na kung sino lang ang mamahala dito.
I will do anything for the sake of this Dukedom and the real heiress.
"You must call Seleste, and I will speak with her personally. Inform her that former butler Carrion Elrod has arrived to report on the item she desperately wanted. " I told this young, disrespectful lad firmly.
They appeared hesitant, but I was determined to enter this dukedom's palace, so I stood still in front of them and stared at them intently.
"Lolo, sigurado ba kayo na papasukin kayo nung Seleste na iyon?" Pabulong na tanong ni Latil sa likod ko nang makaalis na ang isa sa mga guwardiya para tawagin si Seleste. Naiwan naman ang Isa pang guwardiya upang meroon parin na magbabantay dito sa gate.
Wala rin silang nagawa dahil hindi ako aalis dito hanggat hindi nila kami pinapapasok sa palasyo. Hindi maaring hindi.
Hindi maaring hindi ko mahanap ang Young Lady Kartara.
"Wala ka bang bilib sa akin, Latil?" Kunot noong tanong ko at Nilingon ko ito ngunit kibit balikat lang ang sagot nito sa akin. Pshh! ito talagang batang ito! Umakto akong babatukan ito nang humahangos na bumalik agad ang guwardiya na kani-kanina lang umalis para tawagin ang kontesa.
"Mamaya ka sa aking bata ka." Banta ko dito at humarap na ulit sa guwardiya na dumating.
"The Duchess has granted permission for the two of you to enter." Hinihingal na sabi nito at agad kaming pinadaan.
"Wow, ang galing mo lolo. Paano mo napapayag agad iyong sinasabing Dukesa Seleste na iyon?" 'Di makapaniwalang tanong ng walang galang kong apo habang naglalakad kami patungong palasyo.
"Gusto mong ipaiwan na lang kita sa labas ng palasyo at hayaan kang dakipin ng mga gumagalang guwardiya o knight ng Emperor?" Seryoso kong tanong sa walang sense na tanong ng batang ito.

We continued walking and Latil, thank God's grace, stopped asking sarcastically.
It takes 7 minutes of walk from the palace gate to reach the actual palace. Marahil ay gumamit ng mana ang guwardiya sa gate kaya't agad itong nakabalik. Magic of speed or he just used the stone of speed that can be bought from the market in this Empire. Lantaran talaga ang paggamit ng mahika sa emperyong ito at sa nakikita ko ngayon naimpluwensyahan narin ang teritoryo ng Karsen na kung dati nung buhay pa ang mahal na Duke at Dukesa nakokontrol pa ito.
Limitado pa ang paggamit ng mahika at may sariling pamamaraan ng pamamalakad sa teritoryong ito noon. However, judging by Countess Seleste's way of thinking, she probably changed the whole system of the Dukedom. At siguradong karamihan sa transaksyon ng palasyo ngayon pulos tungkol sa alahas o kayamanan na wala naman magandang maidudulot sa teritoryong sakop ng Karsens.
I will not allow her to use the wealth of the Karsen house to satiate her greed.
I will fight for the Karsen family as long as I live, even if it means sacrificing my life...

Third Person's POV
(Few moments ago)
Agad na naalerto si Seleste ng marinig ang mensahe na ipinaparating ni Carrion.
"Oh ano pa ang ginagawa mo rito!? Open the gate for them!" Mabilis na utos nito kaya't nagmadali na ngang umalis ang guwardiya.
"Inutil." Sambit pa ng kontesa ng makaalis na ang guard.
She gracefully sips tea and smiles wickedly.
'That weak girl might turn out to be useless now but it doesn't matter... as long as I get the seal.' Seleste thought.
"Oh, I love the taste of this tea today." Seleste said as she placed the cup of tea back on the center table in front of her.
Kasalukuyang nasa silid ng dating Dukesa si Seleste. Ito na ang napili niyang bedroom simula ng angkinin niya ang palasyo. She is elegantly sitting on the green velvet chesterfield couch while having a cup of tea. There are three maids standing at the back of the couch where she sits. Sila ang mga alalay ng kontesa at ang mga maid na personal na nagsisilbi dito.
Hanggang walang binibigay na permiso ang kontesa, maids are not allowed to raise their heads. No one may speak unless the Countess invites or commands them to do so.
"Emie, welcome our guests and lead them to the office room. I will meet them there." Utos ni Seleste sa Isa sa mga maids.
Agad namang tumango ang sinasabing Emie kahit hindi ito nakikita ng kontesa. Lumabas na ito ng silid.
"The two of you prepare new clothes for me. Pronto!" The countess commanded and the two maids immediately moved.
*At the office room*
May dalawang magkatapat na 3 seater leather couches sa gitna ng opisina at mayroon rin isa na pang-isahan lamang.
Carrion and Latil are sitting on one of the 3 seater couches while waiting for the Countess. Sila lang mag-apo ang nasa loob ng silid habang ang maid na si Emie ay nasa may pinto hinihintay na dumating ang kontesa na feeling dukesa.
"Lolo-- Latil, we're currently in the Dukedom palace. Be careful what you say. Ayusin mong bata ka." Putol ng matanda sa sasabihin ng apo.
"Mabuti pang itikom mo muna iyang bibig mo dahil wala naman magandang lumalabas dyan." Dugtong pa ng matanda na ikina-tsk lang ng apo nito.
"Tatanong lang eh, sungit ni lolo ngayon hmp." Bulong ni Latil.
Isang nakakabinging katahimikan ang dumaan ng ilang segundo bago magbukas ang pintuan ng silid.
"The Duchess Seleste Karsen has arrived!"
Emie, the maid, announced as Seleste entered the room with great poise and grace, as if she were a cultured woman, and the three maids trailed behind her. Her beautiful red gown, complete with a corset, evokes elegance and sophistication.
"Karsen's former butler, Carrion Elrod. It's been years since we've seen each other. How have you been…?" Seleste asked.
