Chapter 5: Woah

Amelia's POV

I groaned as I slowly open my eyes, I looked around as I found myself laying on the sand with palm trees shielding me from the harsh sun

"hi, Miss" I was startled when I heard a voice beside me so I looked and my eyes suddenly widen to see a man with only his trunks and white t-shirt that is barely covering any of that muscles. 

"Miss?" I snapped out of my thoughts and mentally slapped myself for drooling over his features. 

"Yes?" I sat up and rubbed my eyes as he continued to look at me 

"you've passed out after attempting to save the man from drowning earlier" he chuckled as I dropped my jaw

"you were the one who save the both of us?" I asked and he nodded

suddenly, a cold breeze blew over me so I hugged myself and realized that I'm only wearing a two piece bikini. 

from the corner of my eyes I saw him stand up and grabbed the hem of his shirt 

"Woah" My eyes widen as he took off his shirt right in front of me

"My name's Jungkook" He smiled and offered me his shirt 

with my jaw still dropped, I slowly got his shirt and stood up to wear it

"I'm Amelia" I smiled as I took out my hand as he gladly shook it

"do you always work out?" this question suddenly slips from my mouth making me widen my eyes and constantly slapping myself mentally

"uh, yeah. I have some special training"

"how about you? have you got some special training to suddenly save people from drowning?" he smiled

"yeah, it's called dumb rescue" we laughed at what I said until I heard my phone ring from my bag

"well uh, Jungkook, I better get going." I said as I grabbed all my things 

"sure! I'll see you around" 

"yeah, I will definitely see you since I have to wash and return your shirt" I chuckled

"no worries. goodbye!" he said as he waved me goodbye and walked away

>> 3 days later <<

"I don't think I can do this Hoseok" I bit my lips as I grip on my mic

"you can do this. just like we practiced" Hoseok rubbed my head and smiled sweetly as he starts to get ready for our entrance.

I breathe heavily and calm myself down. mentally telling myself to be natural and just sing

"now, for the main event, I would like to present you the Hotels newly employed singer- Amelia"  as if on cue, we made our way to the stage as the lights started to dim and spotlight was shone above me. 

Hoseok and the guys started to play the song and I grip on my mic and sung

"I met you in the dark
You lit me up
You made me feel as though
I was enough"

the couple dance on the dance floor and I looked at them in awe. they are in love

"We danced the night awayWe drank too muchI held your hair back whenYou were throwing up

Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest
And you asked me to stay over
I said, I already told you
I think that you should get some rest"

I felt my eye sting and that's when I realized that I'm crying. 

"I knew I loved you then
But you'd never know
'Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go

I looked at Hoseok and he looks quite shocked to see me full with tears but I managed to keep it still so that I can sing well

I begun to panic as soon as my voice cracked. a few people was laughing and a few people looked at me with disgust on their face

"I'll wake you up with some
Breakfast in bed
I'll bring you coffee
With a kiss on your head
And I'll take the kids to school
Wave them goodbye
And I'll thank my lucky stars
For that night"

I heard Hoseok calling me so I looked over at him as he signaled me to pause. I nodded my head as they made the instrumentals longer than we practiced. I thank Hoseok and begin to wipe my tears and fix myself. I nodded my head as a signal and started to sing again.

I took a breath and bow as the crowd cheered and clapped their hands.

We waved and said a few words for the bride and groom before leaving the place.

as we went back to our lounge, Hoseok hugged me

"you did great there. being completely nervous is natural. you were amazing anyways. I look forward working with you" I smiled at Hoseok's words and hugged him back

"Thank you Hoseok and Thank you guys for what you all did back there. it helped me so much."

"GROUP HUG!" we all cheered and went in for a hug. 

soon after, we said our goodbye's and I walked back to my room. 

I sighed as I dropped my things and went to do my night routine. I looked at the clock and realized that it was still early so I wore my slipper and went out for an evening stroll by the beach
