dirty desires, trailer: (it's hot)

❀ ❀ ❀

if there's one thing i've learned it's that fate can lead you anywhere. with anyone. sometimes, the people you feel you hate the most end up being the ones you love the most. and sometimes, the people you trust– are the ones who end up betraying you.

the hogwarts express - present day

the hogwarts express. i heard the voices of students. i smelled the scent of chocolate frogs. it was another new year.

sixth year, i thought to myself, i could have sworn i was just getting sorted yesterday.

"gryffindor!" the sorting hat exclaimed.

everyone cheered. i felt special.

"are you there?" leo impatiently asked, awakening me from my daydream.

leo hayes was the only friend i needed to get me through my time at hogwarts. we met during our first year in the gryffindor common room. his voice was higher then. and his hair was blonder.

"sorry," i replied, "i was just daydreaming."

"we're almost there." he pointed at the window right next to him.

he always managed to get the seat by the window.

i stood up and got out of our booth, eager to stretch my legs until a very certain someone bumped into me. platinum blonde hair. icy blue eyes. the definition of idiotic. draco fucking malfoy.

"watch where you're going, malfoy!" i yelled.

there were many, many reasons why i despised draco. for starters, his creepy father– lucius was working for lord voldemort, who had murdered my older brother cedric. once before, draco had also tricked my younger sister willow into thinking that blaise, one of draco's dumb friends liked her. and to top it all off, he was a big, awful bully.

as expected, draco didn't even bother to look back or apologize for bumping into me.

"i think he's into you..." leo teased as i sat back down.

"because he bumped into me?" i inquired, "i don't think so."

"i saw the way he looked at you, ivy." leo continued, smirking.

"oh, go fuck yourself." i joked.

he chuckled.

"besides," i continued, "even if he did like me... i don't like him."

"you used to..." leo immediately said.

"in what, our second year?" i scoffed, "however i used to feel about him– i don't feel it anymore. draco's a selfish, proud little wretch who cares about nothing more than himself."

"am i?" draco suddenly asked, happening to be passing by our booth.

i crossed my arms, "yes, you are."

"well, if that's how you really feel about me– then you can't expect me to help you with your potions homework anymore, diggory."

"i don't need your help anymore, draco. and even if i did, after what you did to my sister, i wouldn't even ask for it."

he chuckled, pushing all of my buttons, "it was fun while it lasted. she really did believe me when i told her blaise had a crush on her."

"just leave, malfoy!" i demanded.

"as you wish." he smirked, turning around and walking away.

once he was gone, i tried to hold in my frustration.

"don't let him get to you." leo advised, "oh, look, we're here!"

the rest of the day went normally and after the feast at the great hall, leo and i finally retreated to our common room. we sat on the red couch by the fireplace.

"doesn't our school seem a little empty to you?" i asked leo.

"well, i did hear that you-know-who might be on the loose and that parents are scared to send their children back here."

"do you really think he's back?" i worriedly asked.

i was still haunted by the fact that voldemort had killed my brother.

leo reassured me, "if he is, harry and ginny will kill him. they've been fighting him for years."

he continued, "and maybe my brother will even get the chance to take part in it all..."

"how is charlie, anyways?" i asked.

"he's doing great. he says he really enjoys being an auror." leo replied.

a pause.

"well," leo said, "i better get ready for bed. see you in potions tomorrow, ivy."

i waved goodbye to leo and headed over to my own dorm.

before i slept, i ended up thinking about cedric. i missed my brother. we were always so close. even though it had been a while since his death, i still thought about him very frequently. i began to cry into my pillow but then heard voices coming from outside of the window next to me.

i looked down from the tower and surprisingly saw draco and his father. i wasn't sure why draco's father was at hogwarts but i continued to watch them. i don't know why but something told me to leave the common room and spy on the both of them. i figured they might be talking about voldemort. so i rapidly put a sweatshirt over my tank top and shorts and went to go spy on them. i watched from the bottom of one of the staircases and was finally able to understand what they were saying.

"father, you can't make me do this," draco said, "you've gone too far."

draco began to walk away but lucius grabbed his arm firmly and pulled him back.

"you are to listen to me, boy. you will do as i say. do you understand?"

draco nervously looked up, "y– yes."
