making out with aiden was heaven. and the library was the perfect place for makeout sessions. we ended up going there every night just to kiss. and we weren't officially dating. but that's how i wanted it to be. i was still haunted by william; i didn't want to put my heart on the line just for it to get broken again.
time went on. september turned into october. and october to november. and there were two things the school was gossiping about: voldemort and the upcoming winter ball.
there happened to be a quidditch game between our house and slytherin. leo was the keeper on our quidditch team so before i went to the quidditch stands to watch the game, i went to the boys' locker room to wish him luck. but when i walked in, i stumbled across a shirtless draco. i tried not to stare at his voluptuous body but i couldn't help it. he was half-naked and hotter than hell.
"this isn't the girls' locker room, diggory." he jeered.
i looked at his face, trying so desperately not to look down at his abs, "i'm looking for leo. i'm here to wish him luck."
"he'll need it." draco chuckled, turning around and looking in the mirror in his locker.
i crossed my arms and rolled my eyes, staring at his ass while he was turned around.
he snapped his head back at me, "looking at something?"
i blushed and stared at the ground, "just– tell leo i wish him the best of luck."
"sure thing, love." i heard him say as i turned back around and rapidly stormed out of the locker room.
draco just kept managing to make me angry. i knew i was getting better at shaking it off since i rarely replied to his dumb comments anymore. but he was still frustrating to deal with.
luckily, our house ended up winning the game. that night, we had a small gryffindor party to celebrate our victory. however, after a few minutes into the party, leo and i chose to go up to my dorm to do mud masks instead.
"i hope this pimple goes away soon." leo told me, looking in the mirror with his mud mask on.
i stared back at him and curiously said, "you know– you never told me what happened between you and molly after detention."
he stared back at me, open-eyed, "nothing. we just– talked."
"sure," i smiled, knowing he was lying, "oh my god– did you have sex?!"
"maybe..."
"oh my god!" i shouted.
"you're acting like a first year," he rolled his eyes, "now i get to ask you something."
"ask away!" i exclaimed, "you know all of my secrets."
"what's going on between you and draco?" he smirked.
i had entirely forgotten about draco and our shared intimate moments. i hadn't really told leo anything about it. i felt my cheeks get hot and stared at him, dumbstruck.
"n– nothing." i lied.
"there's no use in lying, ivy," leo rolled his eyes, "are you hooking up with him?"
"ew! no, we're just–" i began then sighed.
i told leo just about everything that had happened between draco and i– from the night of the party in the kitchens, to just earlier, when i had seen him shirtless. after i told him everything, he stared at me, shocked, i was guessing.
"you like him, don't you?" he asked.
i blushed again, uncontrollably, "n– no. i–"
i groaned out of frustration, "it's– complicated..."
"not really," leo suggested, walking over to the bathroom sink to wash his mask off, "draco malfoy– the king of mean– chose not to obliviate you– risking so much. he's into you so bad, ivy. ask him to the winter ball!"
he turned the sink on and washed off the mud mask.
"woah, calm down, leo!" i shouted, "i don't even know if i like draco like that. and i'm having fun with aiden. i'm not gonna just lead aiden on and decide to be with someone else."
"whatever," leo muttered heading towards the door, "i need to go meet molly at the astronomy tower. i'll be back in ten."
"why do i get the feeling that it'll take much longer than ten minutes?" i joked.
he turned around and smiled sweetly at me, opening the door and leaving.
i went over to the sink and began washing off my mud mask when i heard a cracking noise, assuming leo had forgotten something.
"forgot to bring condoms?" i teased, "you're not supposed to apparate yet, leo."
"i'm not leo, darling." draco's voice seemed to echo.
i finished washing my face and dried it with a towel, walking over to draco.
"what the fuck are you doing here?" i raved, "you can't just barge into my room and—"
"you dropped this at the locker room." he handed me my watermelon flavored chapstick.
"uh... thanks." i stated, staring at him.
he sat on my bed with a grin and collapsed on it, "why is your bed so much better than mine?"
"get off, malfoy." i demanded.
but he didn't listen to me and whispered, "you look beautiful in that nightgown."
i felt my cheeks turn pink but ignored the butterflies in my stomach and crossed my arms, "why are you still here?"
he ignored me and walked around my room, staring at my desk.
"looks like you haven't started on your everlasting elixirs essay, diggory. you do know it's due tomorrow, right?" he reported.
"what?!" i blurted, "already? i don't know a thing about any of the elixirs."
"do you listen to anything slughorn says?"
i rolled my eyes, "i don't have time for this. i need to get started."
i sat at my desk and dipped my quill in ink, thinking of what to write. but i felt my eyes beginning to close. i was sleepy.
draco waved his wand and next to me appeared a chair. he sat down in it and stared at me.
"if you need my help, diggory, just ask."
i yawned, "i'm exhausted, draco. i need some sleep. i'll just turn it in late."
i climbed in my bed and dimmed the lights, "just close the door before you leave– leo left it open."
i shut my eyes, hoping to get some sleep and heard the door close.
