"Adora, it's time to think about it" Glimmer stated, pointing her fork to her.
"Think about what?" She retorted, keeping her eyes on the perfectly balanced lunch.
"That maybe there's nothing to fix, babe."  Bow admitted sorrowfully.
"What? No! It's been barely a month!" The blonde frowned.
"You are destroying each other! Something is happened last week - obviously. The two of you just fight and then you bottle up your emotions! It's gonna hit you back, hard!" Glimmer warned.
"I don't care! I can fix this! I just need time, ok? It will work, she will trust me!" Adora exclaimed, struck by the way her stomach closed and her heart sank.

Trust her...

"She is toxic for you...and you could end up being toxic for her if you can't let go..."
The pink-haired insisted.
"No! No! I'm not giving up! She is still my Catra, I know it! She is there!" The other retorted, forcing any insecurity away.

It was the only way.

"Oh, Dor, years go by and people change, it's nature..." Bow offered pitiful.
"No! It can't be! I don't accept it! I see her, she is there! I know it!" Adora repeated, locking eyes with them.
"You just see what you want to see!" The shorter snapped.
"Fuck off Glimmer! I know what I'm doing!" The blonde hissed back, shocking them - and herself.
"Are you serious?" Her friend asked with watery eyes and an hard look.

She looked hurt and betrayed.

Indeed, it was the first time the blonde ever talked like that to them.

The angryness melt a little and guilt kicked in.

"I- Glimmer, I-" she attempted, but she couldn't bring herself to apologise.
"Catra is poisoning you! At the party I really thought that she could be good, but you don't talk to us anymore, you are closing into yourself and whatever happened last weekend was fucked up!" The short girl insisted.
"We think that her addiction and attitude are too much to handle - and you don't let us help you...she might really hurt you. Sometimes is better to let go of bad influences." Bow explained calmer.
"Wha-What? Bow, no! She- she is helping me! There are things that- she knows me, ok? She is helping me to be myself!" Adora protested outraged.
"Oh, is she? What? What would make you feel more like yourself that we don't do?"Glimmer provoked.
"Things like- like watching horror movies, or eat streatfood although its dubious origin, or dancing, or speaking Spanish and playfighting! There's a lot you don't know about me - like we stole a tablet from school when we were twelve, or the fact that I'm a lesbian, or that I love eating nachos with Nutella and-" Adora rambled.
"Wait, what?!" Bow snapped.
"Oh my god! Did I imagine it? Did you really say it?!" Glimmer squeaked.
"She said she is a lesbian!" The man repeated excitedly to his girlfriend.
"Yeah! I heard that too!" She confirmed as much astonished.
"Oh god, I really said it aloud..." the blonde muttered, covering her face with her hands.
"I'm so mad with you, but also so proud and happy you finally came out to us!" Glimmer blurted, standing up and rushing fast to her friend's side, to hug her tightly.
"Me too!" Bow copied her and Adora was soon enveloped in a Best Friends Squad hug.
"Guys! You are squishing me!" The blonde's muffled voice complained and she was let free.
"So, when did you admit it? Are we the first?" Glimmer couldn't help but ask.
"Glim! Boundaries!" Bow snorted.
"Whatever, answer me! Pretty please!" The girl pleaded like a crybaby, making Adora laugh.
"I don't know, I was talking with Cat and it just...with all the chaos of the recent month...I couldn't deny it anymore I guess." She explained.
"Obviously you are already a simp for her, but that was known for years." The pink-haired girl growled, earning a pinch from her boyfriend and a glare from the other.
"We are very happy that you feel comfortable enough to tell us and live your life." Bow said fondly.
"It technically slipped out, but honestly it would have been now or Friday...I haven't really had much time to think about it with how last weekend went." Adora huffed.
"Oh god, don't tell me it's related to Catra's disappearance!" Glimmer cringed.
When the blonde blushed and grimaced, no more words were needed.
"Obviously! What happened? Did you admit you love each other? Did you kiss?" Bow asked with a frown, picturing the drama of the couple.
Adora hid her face in her hands and lowered her head, growling to herself.
"Oh no, it's worse...you two fucked, didn't you? Agh! Useless forward lesbians!" Glimmer cried defeated, as Adora nodded against the table.
"Oh Dor..." the man sighed, unsure about what to say next.
"Ok, I'm killing her! She is a total jerk! Disappearing like that after you guys had sex? There must be a way to kick her out!" The short friend growled.
"No! No! I started it, ok? She was just being nice, but I overstepped and didn't think about the consequences. It's my fault, she just freaked out about our situation, but now it's like it never happened! We are fine!" Adora exclaimed, jolting sit up straight like the soldier she was.
"What?!" Glimmer hissed, facepalming.
"You can't act like nothing happened! It's litterally the last thing to do, especially since you are head over heels for her!" Bow snapped too.
"I'm not- I- we can't be together! It wouldn't work anyway." The blonde blurted.
"Adora, you litterally live with an unstable bomb!" The short woman cried.
"And summer vacancies start next week! A great occasion to explode." He added.
"I know I messed up!" Adora growled, exhausted.
In a sympathetic motion, her friends hugged her again.
"Maybe you could come on holiday with us..." Glimmer suggested.
"You both could use a break from each other." Bow muttered.
"Maybe...thank you guys, you are the best." She hugged them tighter.
"We got your back, She-ra...but I'm still bitter about before." The pink-haired warned playfully and they laughed.
