Jake looked over at Faye, every intention that he had to pound Ezekiel's face in faded as he could only see the outline of her. Beaten and alone, for so many days. He hated the fact that this happened to her and wanted to stop it from happening again, which caused the next words out of his mouth to flow.
"What deal?" Jake asked bitterly, his eyes not leaving Faye. Ezekiel's men finally stopped walking in the darkness and turned around, with Ezekiel standing in the front. "Stop with the wolf pack complex and tell me what you want!" Jake demanded, anger on the edge of every word.
"Patience is a good virtue sir." Ezekiel said laughing as he dusted his hands. "You have two options, both equally not good for Faye in the end, should you fail." Ezekiel said. Jake clenched his fist, preparing himself to hit this man.
"How do I know that you won't hurt Faye, even if I do what you ask, which you haven't covered yet." Jake said hatefully, impatience and worry consuming majority of his emotions.
"I'm not a man to break promises. I simply don't believe in it. Therefore, your Faye will be safe if you do what I ask successfully, and what I ask is this, bring Faye's father to me..." Ezekiel paused, the essence of murder could be seen in his eyes. Although he knew how terrible of a father he was, he couldn't be an accessory to murder.
"What's the other option?" Jake asked hesitantly. Ezekiel looked down at Faye, laughing hatefully. Jake knew that whatever he had planned, wasn't one that he was going to like.
"Whenever I need someone to do something for me, you'll be the one to do it. Whether track down a guy and get money, or cover something up, or provide something for entertainment, you will do this. As much as I ask, until I tell you that the debt has been paid." Ezekiel said as he motioned for one of the men to take the duct tape off from Faye's mouth.
"I'll do it." Jake said as he ran towards Faye and held her.
"Alright, henchman number three." Ezekiel said, and with that the light from day filled the room.
---
"Why would you do that? You're never going to get out of that debt! And think about all the travelling you do, how are you going to be able to do it, and pay Ezekiel back?" Faye asked, her tone getting more and more scared as more and more thoughts popped into her head.
"I have a feeling that he asked me to do this for a reason. He knows I travel. I did it to protect you. I'll do anything to protect you Faye." Jake said as he pulled Faye close into a tight hug. "I won't let anything bad happen to you ever again." Jake said.
