We all were sitting in the room and staring at each other.

"I can't understand this?" Christa raised her question making both me and Noel look at her.

"What would Adam get out of this?" she voiced out. "He had no hostility with me. I remember him treating me as a friend. Even after the incident, he showed no indifference," she added. Christa was now in utter disbelief that Adam would be a part of something like this. Noel on other hand was sure that he was a part of it.

"Neither did Richard but he was the one who drugged you and did many other things maybe," the expression of disgust was clear on his face as he spoke this.

"But this is Adam, Noel. He has always been friendly and does he even has any benefit from doing all this," she questioned. "I don't know how much you know but he has everything he desires.  There is no need for him to fight for something. His family comes from a political background. This city has always been his ground," Christa pointed out. The was news to me. I didn't have an ounce of sure that I didn't know much about the man I had slept with. Well, I hardly did but this was a lesson that I shouldn't end up in bed with every hot guy.

"That's true. He is a partner in Jayce and Richard's business but his share is less than that of others. However, he and I had haven't always been even," Christa raised an eyebrow at him after he spoke. The reason why Jayce and Richard did what they wanted was really clear but why Adam.

"Maybe he was just helping his friends. I remember that he once said that he does clean up after Jayce. Maybe this was a cleanup," I butt in with my thoughts. Won't lie but hearing his name, again and again, was taking me down the memory lane where it really shouldn't. not at this time especially. I had slept with the enemy. Period.  Both of their eyes turned towards me as they thought about it.

"Maybe," Noel answered but Christa just shook her head in denial.

"He won't put everything he had at risk just for friendship. They are good friends but I don't think he would have done something illegal," I seriously couldn't sit there and hear that out. I needed to do something else because remembering Adam and that night was not going to help anyone.

"I don't agree with you on that one," Noel wasn't having any of it. I got up from there and went into the kitchen.

"I'm making coffee. Does anyone else want it?" I yelled from the kitchen and both of them wanted it.

"I'm going to call Dolores here. She would surely know our enemies better than us," he went out to make the call while Christa walked towards me in her kitchen.

"Thanks for making the coffee," she uttered softly.

"No problem. I was getting a bit of a headache myself," there was no point in lying about it.

"Christa, do you like Adam by any chance," she looked at me in confusion at my words. "I mean something more than a friend and as a lover," it was better to ask because of the way she was protecting him I just couldn't of something other than that.

"No way," she made a disgusted face as she answered me. "Why would you think that?"

"I mean he isn't getting the same reception as Jayce and Richard got when you realized that he was also a part of this," she breathed a sigh when she heard me out.

"I get your point but Adam isn't one of them. How do I tell you this?" She closed her eyes and breathed in a sigh.

"He did save me once from Jayce's wrath. Rather than going after his friend he had made sure that I was fine even when Jayce had thrashed out of the room. He sat with me until I was fine rather than going after Jayce. I could have been hurt badly but he saved me from that. Even called his sister so she could drop me home. He always treated me just like his sister, so I'm sorry that I can't believe that he did something like this," she became a bit teary as she recited it all.
