Y/n: "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen..."

Y/n: "I'm y/n and am so excited to be here! This is my dream but you didn't come here to listen to my sob story but to hear me sing. And so let's start off with a favorite of mine..."

Y/n had started to sing, the crowd clapping as she hit every note. She sounded perfect, angelic some might say, and it was falling into a successful evening.

As she paused between songs, she noticed friends laughing, families enjoying each other's company and realized how alone she is here.
Not letting that get to her, she began to sing a cover to T.Swift's 'Afterglow.'
Letting the music take her she looked around and couldn't quite believe it when her eyes met his...

In a country so small, word travels fast and it was said that a new performer arrived, a singer. I knew everyone would be there so I decided to rather spend time elsewhere, so began making my way to the other drivers, get some preseason bets going... a classic tradition with one goal, enjoyment.
As I walked, wondering how this evening in particular was so beautiful I heard a voice sweeter than I've ever heard before. As I passed the window I saw her, up there, looking alone but satisfied. This must be the singer everyone was waiting to see.
I knew I could slip in unnoticed with this many  people so I went in, wanting to see more than this.
Letting Max and Daniel know where I was, I listened as she sang, each note as perfect as the one before, and she was just as beautiful as her voice.
Sitting at the back corner table to not draw attention, I watched as she scanned the audience gleefully, clearly showing signs of 'dream come true'. The next minute our eyes met, I couldn't tell by her face if she was shocked it was ME or if she even had a clue who I was. None of it mattered though, I just knew I needed to know more about her. There was definitely a story behind those eyes...
