Enchanted Forest

As the nameless five year old sat down in complete silence due to fear of her father, she thought of what she did to be hated by the man since she was born. But she was so caught up in her thoughts that she spilled her drink all over the dinner table. She realized what she did and looked at her father, tears already brimming in her eyes. Her father's face chilled her to her core.

"I-I'm sorry" she said in a whisper.

Her father was silent as he got up she thought he was going to hit her but instead he walked to the fireplace and grabbed the iron stick he used to push the wood around. He sat it in the fire until it glowed red and returned to the table with it. She knew it would hurt, she had accidentally touched it and burned herself before but something different happened.

As soon as the iron burned her flesh she screamed and something pink burst out of her. It threw her father and his iron into the wall and he fell to the ground lifeless with the back of his head bloody and the hot iron lodged in his chest. She may have been five but she was smart, she didn't move to check him, she knew he was dead.

Suddenly fear flooded her, she killed him, it was and accident but he was still dead. Her tears that had brimmed in her eyes fell finally, she was a monster, worse than her father, he may have abused her but he had never killed anyone.

As she cried the Evil Queen burst in the house "Who has refused to come out and meet there rightful Queen." Her voice cold but teasing at the same time. She froze when she saw a child crying with pink magic glowing in her eyes and swirling around her head. The queen saw that the girl had bruises up and down her body and what looked like freshly burned flesh on her arm. She then looked over and saw the lifeless body of her father.

"I-I didn't mean to your majesty." She said through tears. The Queen walked over to the girl and reached out to her. The girl flinched in fear of being hit.

But the queen just put her had on her shoulder and said " How would you like to live with me in my castle." The queen said with a kind smile. " I promise to treat you better than he did."

The girls eyes stopped glowing and the magic swirling around her head disappeared. She looked at the queen with a straight face and held up her pinky, " Promise" she said extending her pinky to the queen.

"Promise" the queen said linking pinkys with the girl. The girl then hugged the queen and this took Regina by surprise but she soon returned the hug. The queen stood up and walked the girl to her carriage. Villagers stared as the girl willingly went with the queen.

"How can you take that girl from her father!" A random woman screamed at the queen. Regina quickly turned around but before she could say anything the girl spoke.

"She saved me which is less than I can say for you." The girl glared at the woman which caused the woman's brave face to fall into defeat. The queen was shocked by how much sass the girl had for a 5 year old. But smiled since the girl was defending her. They both got into the carriage and road off to the castle.

When they arrived, Regina showed the girl to her room. " I'm sorry but I never asked you your name." Regina said with a regal smile. Regina saw the girls magic swirl in little circles around her head.

"I don't have one, my father said only good, quite girls get names." She said as she turned around.

"Well since your father was such a bitch," Regina said spitting out the last word. " I'll give you a name." Regina thought for a moment when the girls magic swirling around her head caught her eye. "Your magic is very pretty." Regina said trying to calm the girl down.

"You've never seen my magic." The girl said confused. Regina chuckled slightly. Regina lead the girl to her mirror to show her and then the girl started laughing at her self as her magic disappeared from her head once again.
