A Broken Royal

Everyone was in Gold's shop as the whole Charming clan was reunited. But I wasn't paying attention, all I could think about were my parents. They were royalty and Cora killed them. I got my powers from them and I have light magic so they must have had true love since my mom had dark magic. Apparently I look just like my mom so I guess no Wonderland residents are in this town or no one cares enough to bring it up. Wait, what were their names?

"Quartz!" I hear Emma shout as she nudges me.

"Hmm" I say lifting my head to see that everyone is staring at me. "What?"

"You okay? You got all these mini tornadoes floating above your head and you didn't hear me the first five times I called your name." She says with a questioning look on her face.

I look around the room again and everyone is still staring at me, some with fear and others with confusion.

"Yeah, it just happens sometimes when I'm thinking." I say calmly.

"What are you thinking about? How to kill everyone in this room." Grumpy says.

I definitely didn't miss everyone thinking I'm evil when we were in the Enchanted Forest.

"No of course not." I say with a shocked look on my face. "My mother, Henry, and Emma are in here. Now why would I kill them."

Everyone in the room's eyes go wide except for my mother who is hiding her smirk, Emma who just rolled her eyes in annoyance, and Henry who is stifling his laughter at everyone's reaction.

"She's just kidding everyone, no need to panic." Emma says calmly.

"Yeah, Rose wouldn't kill any of us." Snow says trying to help calm everyone down.

"Well she killed her father." Grumpy says to Snow.

"Well sh-

"Adoptive father and you're right, I did. He was getting on my nerves and now so are you." I say annoyed of this whole conversation.

Emma looks at me clearly angry. "Quartz, can we talk outside?"

"No, I'm good here." I say calmly.

"Oh, I was just asking to be polite." She says before grabbing my arm and leading me outside the shop.

"What the hell, Swan?" I say once we're outside the shop.

"I could ask you the same thing. What was that in there?" She says while gesturing to the shop.

"They were all staring at me and he accused me because he thinks I'm evil so I gave him what he wanted." I say slightly annoyed.

"You don't have to act evil anymore, Mary-Margret knows that you're not and everyone listens to her." She says clearly just as annoyed as me.

"I don't want everyone to know that I'm not evil." I say angrily.

"Why not?! You're a good person, other people should know that." She says now angry.

"They know I'm a good person if they remember how i acted during the curse." I said completely over this conversation.

"Well, they would know that you were never evil of you just told them killing your dad was an accident." She says with her anger fading.

"Adoptive father and no, I won't tell them that." I say calmly.

"But they would know they were wrong about you?" She says confused. "And you don't like being called a killer."

"I may not like it but I'm used to it."

"Why won't you do this for yourself." She says angrily.

"What do you mean, Swan." I ask slightly annoyed.

"All you have to do is tell them one thing and your life gets so much easier!" She says now yelling.

"What tell all the people who barely even know me that everything they believe about me is a lie, and expect them to just accept it!"

"Yes, me and Mary-Margret will have your back."

"My back on what? Telling everyone that I was abused, that I was scared, that I still flinch when certain people raise a hand to me!" I yell with tears in my eyes and Emma goes quiet. "Listen Em, that is my secret and no one in this town can know that. So keep your mom's mouth shut because we all know how she is with secrets."

"Okay, I will. And I'm sorry for pressing." She says with a soft smile.

"It's okay Swan. But seriously don't let Snow tell anyone."

"I won't, I promise. Now let's get back in there before people come charging out thinking I'm in danger or something." She says with a sigh and an eye roll.

"Dinner at Granny's on me?" Ruby questions and everyone agrees.

"Hey kid, you hungry?" Emma asks Henry as he's hugging mom.

"Yeah." He says as he walks away from mom and I can tell she doesn't want to let go of him.

"Hey Quartz, you coming?" Emma questions.

"Dinner with the Charming clan? Sorry Em, hard pass." I say with a slight chuckle.

"Alright see you around." She says as she walks out with Henry in her arm.

I look over to see mom looking at the door with tears in her eyes. I know she misses Henry.

"Congratulations Regina." Gold says. " You just reunited a mother and son. Maybe one day they'll even invite you for dinner."

"That's enough Gold. Come on, mom. Let's go home." I say while leading her out the shop.

"You're not going to your apartment?" She questions once we get out of the shop.

"I was just stuck in the Enchanted Forest with no way of knowing if I would see you again." I say with a chuckle. "But if you want I could go-"

"No." She says cutting me off. " I mean it's perfectly fine if you want to stay." She says trying to cover her worry.

"Mmhm, okay." I said laughing at her reaction.

"Oh quit it and tell me all about your encounter with my mother." She says as we walk home.

My face falls. "Uh, I-I'd rather wait till we got to the house for that if it's okay with you?" I say not wanting anyone to overhear the conversation.

"Okay, we'll wait until we get home." She says and suddenly I'm surrounded by purple smoke. When it clears I can see that we are home.

"You got your magic back!" I say happy for my mother.

"Yes I did. Now," she says with a serious expression. "Tell me everything."

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I've never watched Once Upon a Time in Wonderland so if there is a plot with the past king or queen of Wonderland in there my story will not follow that. Sorry.
