"You know Gold's not gonna just give up after we tell him we lost Baelfire." I say to Emma once I can see the apartment complex that Baelfire lives in.

"It can't be that bad. He's stubborn but this will work." She say and I can tell she's trying to convince herself.

"Whatever you say, Swan." I mumble before walking into the lobby.

"Did you find him?" Gold asks and Emma turns to face me, sometimes she sucks at lying.

"I'm sorry, your son got away." She says and Gold looks between the two of us trying to scan if we're telling the truth. Which technically we are, Neal did get away.

Gold turns to the buzzers and begins hitting them all. I knew he wouldn't give up so easily.

"Gold, what are you doing?" Emma asks and her nerves show. At that moment the gate opens.

"I'm finding my son." He says in determination and Emma nudges me as is asking for help.

"He's not here." I say exasperatedly.

"But he lives here. He'll be back. And I'll be waiting." He responds and I look at Emma with a shrug.

"Oh he's gonna pick the lock." I say in a neutral tone though I am slightly shocked.

"Stop. We can't just break in." Emma says worriedly and I've honestly given up on convincing him to stop.

"Yeah, well actually that's something I'm quite adept at." Gold says and I try to hold in a laugh. Emma turns to me with an unamused look and I instantly avoid her eye contact.

"He might not come back." Emma says trying to get Gold to stop but he just pulls out something to pick the lock with.

"Finding people is what you do Miss Swan. I'm simply assisting you. There may be information in here." Gold says and he does make a point.

"No, don't do this. There are things called laws." Emma says desperately.

"We'll be lookout." Henry says as he grabs my hand and nods before dragging me to the end of the hallway.

"No, I-" Emma says in an attempt to stop Henry but he continues to drag me along and I oblige. "You could get arrested." She says to Gold.

"Then my son will have to testify against me, and we will be reunited." He's says and I nod in silent agreement, he has a point.

At that moment the door unlocks and Gold opens it. Emma seems frozen in her spot before moving toward the door and I follow behind her.

"Gold please, we really shouldn't be here." Emma says, skillfully hiding the desperation in her tone but you can see it in her face.

"I don't think he's listening." Henry says and we all begin to look around the apartment.

I walk over to his desk and see a multitude of objects. I probably shouldn't be snooping like this...well guilt's gone. I think before opening one of the drawers and seeing a dagger with the initials R.M carved into it, my initials. By instinct I close the drawer and continue to look around. Gold can't suspect that I know his son, however Emma doesn't seem to have gotten the memo. I see her entranced by a dreamcatcher hanging on the window, completely lost in thought. After checking my surroundings, I quietly try to walk over to Emma in an attempt to break her out of her memories before Gold notices her.

She grabs the dreamcatcher and I instantly move faster. Snatching it out of her hand and shaking my head no with warning in my eyes. She looks at me in annoyance before understanding crosses over her face.

"You find something, dearie?" Gold says and my heads whips around to face him.

"Just a stupid dreamcatcher." I say as I hanging it up on the windowsill dismissively, hoping that I saved Emma's ass.
