    CHAPTER 9 – YOKOHAMA!

We both seem to have opinions about Yokohama. I heard that it's like a really huge city in Japan, like only one behind Tokyo. There is already so much to see in Tokyo. Like it could compete and top over any other global city in just about anything. Just Tokyo itself. For that, Matsuri thinks alike with it. She doubts that it's like Nagoya. Just way too much to see and go through. That's funny to call that a doubt from her. She also says: "Kobe looks like San Francisco, Yokohama looks like Canada." It does really. "And it has a sea port like Ko-bay.(Kobe)" And I actually snorted laughing. "But really? It does. Have you ever really traveled abroad?" I ask her. "Actually yes. Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, and Canada. So far. But not yet Philippines." That's actually a lot than I could think she went to. Thought she went to at least three. But five?! This is my first ever time overseas."

Yokohama! And it actually feels like a strange new Shinjuku. From the outside. And some surprise Matsuri whispers: "This is also where you will see the best view of Mt. Fuji." Okay. Here we go! We take another subway off from Yokohama station, because Matsuri planned our start in...

- Yokohama stadium or Hamasuta. One quick look at the exterior, and this is known to be the famous stadium for baseball. And the home for its team called the Bay Stars. There's even a handy Yokohama park for everyone to just chill in, and a great camping site for the night before any game that will happen in the stadium.

- Yamashita park at the orange sky dusk. I want to call it the perfect park ever. Just out from the sea view, you can literally see most things ever in Yokohama. I would ask to wonder, is that a real ocean liner at the right? Because it has been there forever but it looks so cool. Matsuri explains: "Nah. It's just a nice museum." We could go there if you'd like. At the left is more of the giant area of Yokohama, and what I think is a pier even. So called Yamashita park, feels like the place with no distractions. But at least fun people entertaining in the park. It gives much of a vibe I see to it. It feels so green all over, and so blue at the other side. It's so clean, civil, and quaint here. Even the sun could prove it by it's rays. Matsuri also shows that Yamashita park has a boat cruise for a huge service. We tried it out, and it just feels like the definition of freedom. So open in the sea port, and in the breeze of the fresh air. While we make the moves in the boats. Wait... no! OMG! I could see it! Looks like it! While in the boats still, Matsuri whispers through my ear saying: "This is where Bungo Stray Dogs is set. Yokohama." The port... I really noticed it now. I just realized.

- In Shinko district - The red brick warehouse. Once a storage for the port, turned into a mall center. Inside is when you can most local shop, as well as local eat. Not too exciting to be honest. But it feels nice in how it was changed in the inside. I have seen that it's a highly recommended place to go in Christmas. Something like a Christmas market with snow, lights and trees? Count me in for later this December.

- Cup Noodles Museum. We can see the true history behind what we all grew up with. Especially me. The biggest influence as a college student. You can look at the inside built old kitchen of the noodles, and I'm making them. It's a picture pose only. But damn the gallery of cup noodles cups is really big AF. So much interesting history all to see. We really slurped down a whole lotta piece of history. All the way down. The most exciting part, is our very own cup noodles we make. I designed mines... and Matsuri actually liked my design. It's kawaii, and girl idol kinda inspired. I laugh hard... cuz I actually don't think it looks cute. Rather, it looks so annoying. So much pink, yellow, light blue, stars, hearts, emoticons, and I'm just making myself laugh. Matsuri thinks hers look meh. But she drew a lot of Yokohama with stars and clouds, and a cute drawing of me and her. I think it looks so much better than mines. She's actually talented in drawing art like that. We have our cups filled, and I don't really understand the toppings and seasoning flavors. I'd just put anything in, hoping that it'd taste good especially when I'll heat it.
