Emersion sat awake in the middle of the night in his and Charline's bed. He glanced at his wife who was sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed on her soft pillow.
He gently stroked a brown hair away from her face, making her moan softly in her sleep at his touch. He got out of the bed and gently kissed his wife's forehead before putting the covers properly over her. Luckily, the sounds of the thunder and rain outside didn't seemed to bother his son at all. He stood up from the bed and got dressed before leaving the chambers He closed the doors behind him and began walking when Amara showed up in front of him. "Hello, Emersion," she greeted with a wicked smile on preying on her lips. Emersion looked at her angrily. "What are you doing here?," he asked in a low angry tone. Amara went over to him and raised her hand. "I needed to see you," she smiled wickedly and Emersion grabbed her wrist, stopping her from touching him. "You would only dare!," he warned. Amara smiled wickedly and pulled away her hand. "What's wrong with you, Emersion? Has life got you down? It's that damn Witch, isn't it? I knew that Star was trouble the moment she walked into your life. She must be awful!," "Do not speak of Charline like that!," Emersion warned, "She's my wife and I love her more than anything. You betrayed me, you turned your back on me, on the love we had," Amara smiled wickedly, "Don't be so dramatic, Emersion! You should have given me what I deserved!," And Emersion shook his head, "What happened to you, Amara?," And Amara looked at him angrily, "I grew up! And learned to see you for what you really are! And you are going to pay for what you did to me!," And she smiled wickedly and turned to walk away before she suddenly stopped and turned back towards him, "And one last thing, do not underestimate me!," And she disappeared in a dark cloud of smoke. Emersion sighed irritatingly and looked down.

Next day, everyone stood in the great hall, making plans for the battle that was to come. Faylinn knew she would give birth to her child before the war in a few months. Evindal had been wondering if the gods were actually coming. But that was something that would probably turn out later.
