When a feast was held later that night, Charline got to meet Emersion's younger adoptive siblings Emory, Fanya and Alana. Emory being the youngest, around hundred years old. "Where's your Star mark?," Emory asked Charline. "Emory, that's not how we treat our friends," Alana said who was slightly a hundred years younger than Emersion. "You and Emersion were just as curious at his age," Celine declared. Charline smiled, "It's alright. I only share it with my closet friends and family," And she showed Emory the inner side of her wrist that had a white symbol of a female hawk. Emory smiled impressed. "Okay, Emory. Apologise to Charline now," Emersion said. "Emersion, you aren't my brother!," Emory protested. Alana looked at her little brother confused, "Emory," "Mother says he's not even a part of this family!," Emory declared. Emersion stilled and turned to Celine. "Emersion," Celine began gently but Emersion shook his head and walked away and Charline hurried after her husband.
Alana turned to her mother, "This is your fault!," Celine sighed, "I've tried to keep Emory and Fanya out of it," "Eschallus, you have!," Alana snapped, "If you want to make things right with us, you better make them right with Emersion first,"Emersion sat in his and Charline's chambers, silently crying when Celine entered the chambers. Emersion looked away from her and Celine sighed and slowly walked over and sat down on beside her son on the edge of the bed. "Emersion, I am sorry," she began, "Things are very complicated right now," she explained, "After you withdrew from being a Demon Hunter, we felt so angry and betrayed. You had always been like a son to us ever since we took you in when you were sent to us before you had even turned ten years old," Emersion turned to her and sighed. "And you have always been like a second family," he declared. Celine pulled Emersion into her arms and hugged him tightly. "I love you, Emersion. Never forget that," she whispered.
Alana stood alone in the hall with her left hand on her right wrist that were shaking a little. Emersion slowly went over to her in concern. "You okay?," he asked concernedly. Alana shook her hand looked up at her adoptive brother. "Emersion, I asked mother to keep quiet about it," she began. Emersion looked at her suspiciously, "What are you talking about?," he asked worriedly. Alana sighed, "I'm a Dimtara addict," Emersion looked at her in shock. Dimtara was a kind of demon venom that made someone healing faster but it was very dangerous for both humans and demons. Elves, dwarves, and Leclitras were immune to it though. "How did you even stumble down that path?," Emersion asked shocked, "Does mother and father know about this?," Alana nodded carefully, "Mother and father knows. I've received treatment from the Leclitras and I'm better now," Emersion sighed and hugged his sister. "I'm sorry. I'm here if you need me," he declared. Alana looked up at him. "Thank you, brother," she smiled, "But mother and father cares for me. You should focus on caring for your son and wife," Emersion smiled and Alana went past him.
Charline laid down the sleeping Aldon in his crib before walking over to Emersion who stood on the balcony. She put her hands around his arms. "Come to bed. It's late," she began. Emersion turned to her and kissed her and they went to bed.
Faylinn laid down the sleeping Elvia in her childbed. In the future, Elvia would be known as the guardian of Shivanna. But she wondered if she was ready to once let out her daughter into this dangerous world. Eldrin went over to her and guided her to bed and they fell asleep in each other's arms.
