"See you after a month then? Please wake up soon."

With one last look of his slumbering haven, Seokjin closed the door of the ward behind him and leaned against it for a few seconds with his eyes closed. As much as he started to enjoy V's presence, he really longed to have Yoongi by his side again. He wondered what evil he had commited to suffer such a loss.

No, it's not a lose. He'll wake up soon. He'll come right back to me.

Putting on his mask, Seokjin headed down the silent corridor and into the reception. He readjusted his cap so that his purple hair was not visible before exiting the hospital. The chaffeur stood by the door of the backseat with his hand curled around the door handle as if expecting Seokjin to arrive any moment. Upon spotting Seokjin emerging out of the entrance, the chaffeur opened the door for him and Seokjin froze in his tracks.

"Eommeo-nim?"

There sat his mother in her polished heels and designer blue gown paired with a pair of pearl earrings and necklace. Her hair was tied in a tight knot and she was wearng her favourite peacock hairpin which she only touched when she was meeting one of her influencial colleagues.

"Are you... going somewhere?" Seokjin asked as he carefully slid inside the car.

"Do you dress like that usually when you go outside?" Mrs. Kim tsked at her son while her eyes scrutinized his outfit which consisted of a pair of white pants and a blue shirt with a flower embroidered on the chest.

"Anyways," Mrs. Kim spoke before Seokjin could reply. "I am going to visit Ms. Han. Do you remember her? And her daughter Daehyun?"

The name did ring a bell but all Seokjin remembered was a blur of rosy cheeks, cold smiles and a white, puffy dress that splayed all over Seokjin when she would sit next to him. Nevertheless, Seokjin nodded and waited for his mother to elaborate.

"Your father and I have decided to introduce your brother to Daehyun. Daehyun is an intelligent girl, poised and proper. She is the top student in her university and plans to start a business in the textiles industry. Spending time with her will be beneficial for our son," Mrs. Kim nodded as if she was pleased with the idea.

"What if hyung doesn't want to... befriend her?" Seokjin asked even though he knew the answer.

"Oh, he will have to." Humourless laughter followed, so cold and disturbing that Seokjin had to avert his eyes to the view outside the window.

The car took a few turns before halting infront a suit tailor showroom.

"Go pick a suit within fifteen minutes. You cannot go to Ms. Han's like this," his mother's lips curled as if there's a bitter taste in her mouth.

Seokjin parted his lips to object accompanying her but the chaffeur was already by his side with the door opened. Sighing in defeat, Seokjin exited the car and urged his feet to carry him towards the shop; he could just feel his mother's eyes burning holes on the back of his head. An attendee opened the glass door of the store for him and bowed which Seokjin reciprocated before approaching the racks of stitched suits.

There weren't too many to choose from since most of them did not compliment his figure well. An attendant greeted him from behind, almost startling him, before plucking out different kinds of tuxedos and waistcoats from their hangers and dumping them all on Seokjin.

Over the pile of expensive clothing in his arms, Seokjin peeked at the attendant who chattered away merrily while scrutinizing a pair of black formal pants. He was shorter than Seokjin and had dyed blonde hair, his dark tips were beginning to show. A purple waistcoat hugged his curves perfectly and a pair of platform shoes seemed to boost his height.

"And please do let me know if any one of them seems too tacky for your taste," the man said with a well-practised smile before escorting Seokjin towards a changing room.

"Enjoy!" And with that, the door behind Seokjin slammed shut; Seokjin hoped he didn't get locked in.

As much as Seokjin would like to act unbothered by his choice of clothes, he could not help but be extra conscious about his appearance. Now that he had purple hair, he was more specific about the colours than the fitting so he decided to overlook the fact that his shoulders would burst out of the tuxedo any minute and chose a dark grey one.

He walked out of the changing room, expecting the blonde to be present but he was engaged in a conversation, which seemed one sided because the attendant was the only one talking, with a new customer by the full-length mirror on the other side of the showroom. Seokjin walked over to the counter and paid for the clothes before walking out of the shop.

"Much better," his mother nodded in approval and just that caught Seokjin off guard because it felt like a compliment.

Not knowing how to respond, Seokjin looked away. As the driver started the engine, Seokjin found himself staring at the attendant from the tailor shop approaching the entrance door with that customer behind him. As the customer stepped out of the shop, a gasp was caught in Seokjin's throat.

Seokjin watched with narrowed eyes as V grinned from ear to ear while placing a hand on the attendant's, or possibly his friend's, shoulder and rubbing it up and down as the latter spoke. The car began to move and Seokjin quickly glanced at his mother, who was absorbed into her phone, before craning his neck to watch V throw his arms around the shoulders of the shorter man who embraced his waist firmly.

Before the car was veered to another road, the last thing Seokjin saw was V waving goodbye to the blonde attendant who blew a kiss at him playfully. V opened and closed a fist quickly as a gesture of catching the flying kiss.

And it was enough for Seokjin to avert his eyes.
