Seokjin's cheeks bunched up into a refrained smile as the door to his bedroom opened. He felt a little guilty for not informing the agency that he was too injured to have sex so they could postpone the sessions, but seeing V in a plain white shirt with several bracelets and a red string around his wrist, Seokjin felt his guilt evaporate. He would be killing V's time yes, but it wouldn't hurt to be selfish sometimes, right?
"It still hurts,"Seokjin chose not to beat around the bush.
V arched his eyebrow as if to say Then what am I doing here?
Seokjin patted the empty space beside him. The pour outiside was getting heavier to Seokjin's delight and it momentarily carried him back to the time when Yoongi would take him out to the rooftop of his apartment building and watch Seokjin drench in the rain while he remained in the shelter of the staircase. The dip in the bed shattered Seokjin's little trip down memory lane.
"Do you have another client after me?" Seokjin asked.
V nodded and his face scrunched slightly.
"You don't like them?" Seokjin asked.
V shook his head, face still creased in distaste. He pinched his nose and waved a hand before his nose.
"They smell?" Seokjin was about to laugh when the thought struck hum.
"Wait, do I stink too?" He wondered aloud, causing V's lips to curl upwards before shaking his head. V crawled closer to Seokjin and dipped his head into the crook of the latter's neck, nudging his nose against the sensitive skin and inhaling deeply.
"Oh..." was all Seokjin could say, a bright crimson painting his cheeks.
"Do you like the rain? Storms?" Seokjin asked with his fingers curling around V's silky hair.
V's nose rubbed sideways against Seokjin's neck to his dismay. Yoongi loved the rain, especially when it was heavy with thunder rumbling overhead. While Yoongi was the type to sit next to a window and indulge into the weather, Seokjin would throw open the windows to feel the raindrops on his face and the thunder prick goosebumps on his skin. Either ways, they both found a common ground that brought them closer.
"Sunny weather? Blue skies?" Seokjin asked.
V pulled away. He made an 'O' with his thumb and index finger, and brought his other hand to cover half of the 'O'.
"Cloudy weather? You're romantic," Seokjin guessed, the complient slipping out before he could stop himself.
V just gave him one of his smirk-tinted smiles before averting his eyes to the storm outside.
"It's getting really bad. How do you come here?" Seokjin inquired when he realized the thunderstorm wouldn't be tamed any soon.
Seokjin watched V stuffing his hand into his back pocket and pulling out a slick, black phone and turning it on. Seokjin saw a glimpse of his screenlock which had the picture of what looked like a dog. V pointed at the Uber app on the bright screen but Seokjin was focused on the two people on the wallpaper; one of them was V himself and the other's face was hidden by the crowd of apps.
"There won't be any uber around until the rain stops," Seokjin pointed out as the rain bagan to almost hammer against the glass panes.
I hope the rain doesn't stop.
V breathed out heavily and scooted to the headboard before leaning against it, eyes boring into Seokjin curiously. Seokjin rubbed his arm awkwardly and tried to think of something.
"So... you have a dog?"
V's face instantly lit up. He shoved his phone screen infront of Seokjin's face excitedly to show a brown teacup pomeranian with its tongue out and eyes looking at the camera like it was purposely being obedient for a treat.
"Oh, he looks like a good boy," Seokjin cooed, before correcting himself, "Or is it a good girl?"
V raised his index finger before unlocking his phone. Seokjin tried not to peek when V surfed through his phone to reach the file that contained thousands of pictures of his dog and himself. Seokjin moved next to V, their shoulders touching, and could not resist a peck on V's cheek because of how fond the latter looked with his eyes literally twinkling and his smile into that box-shaped one that made Seokjin's heart flutter.
V swiped to a certain picture of his dog and himself at a beach. The pomeranian was looking at another direction while its master was sat behind to him in nothing but a pair of swimming trunks with one of his knees raised and his shoulders pushed back and palms planted firmly on the beach blanket. His bare, honey chest looked glazed under the tendrils of sunlight and a pair of shades was perched on top of his head. The expression he wore made Seokjin-
V snapped his fingers infront of Seokjin, pulling the latter out of his soon-to-be-thirsty fantasy.
"Um, you look good," Seokjin wanted to bang his head on the wall but thankfully, before he could give himself a concussion, lightning cracked outside, causing V to drop his phone in surprise.
Seokjin noticed how V wrapped his arms around himself sub-consciously before letting them fall to his sides when he realized he was with Seokjin.
"Hey-" Seokjin was about to place his hand on V's when the lights went out.
A gasp sounded from next to Seokjin when darkness engulfed the room; the storm seemed to intensify. Seokjin heard a low whimper and he squinted his eyes through the dark, barely making out the shape of V with his knees pulled to his chest.
Seokjin leaned over to turn on the bed lamp which shone a faint, warm glow over V who calmed down a little but was breathing heavily. An arm snaked around Seokjin's waist and soon, Seokjin found himself being pressed against the headboard with V's face squashed against his shoulder.
"You're not alone, I'm here," Seokjin tried to comfort him while his hand rubbed soothing circles against his back.
Thunder and lightning roared outside even louder and Seokjin felt his heart sink a little every time V flinced because of the thunderstorm.
Seokjin's phone rang, showing the butler's caller ID. Picking it up, Seokjin pressed his phone against his ear with one hand while the other held V.
"Young Master Seokjin, there seems to be a problem with the power. We can contact an electrician right away but the weather outside is unfavourable so-"
"No thank you," Seokjin's selfishness preceeded his mind as he tucked V tighter under his arm, enjoying the warmth and weight.
"We will try to look for the nearest-"
"Let it be," Seokjin said with more emphasis, before hanging up.
Tossing his phone to some corner of the mattress, Seokjin curled both his arms properly around V who only snuggled closer when anouther lightning struck overhead.
If he couldn't enjoy the storm like he used to do with Yoongi, he could atleast enjoy it with V like this, moulding against each other, one needing solace and the other just wanting to be needed.
