Yeah last week sucked because I couldn't post my oneshot because of watty.

Jesus, you'd think that I'd somehow violated community guidelines or something.

But anywho—ONWARDS!

|Arthur's POV|

Tess and I walked silently through the castle garden. I watch as she played with the glowbies that floated around gracefully. The moon was already way up in the sky, signaling just how late into the night it is, but for some reason Tess refused to retire to bed.

By now, her stomach is rounded out and she waddles around sort of like a duck. It's adorable to witness honestly. Though, for months now she's needed help rolling out of bed, standing up or sitting down. This first time, about three months ago, the baby started moving. At first we were ecstatic, laying our hands gently on her rounded torso as the small life growing inside kicked at our touch. Tess was the first to cry about it, her emotions running on high for the entire duration of the pregnancy.

She once threw a chair at me because she thought I didn't love her anymore. In reality, I was just going to leave the room for about ten minutes to go to the kitchen to make her something to eat. It was about midnight when it happened so all the servant personnel had already retired to sleep. But they, along with Tessia's parents and grandfather were all awoken at her screaming and throwing things at me. In the end, she winded up injuring a guard and two maids. Which made her cry more because she didn't mean to hurt them.

It was within that month that I learned to never underestimate a pregnant woman's strength.

And don't even get me started on the weird food combos.

Ever tried beef stew poured over strawberry ice cream? Don't do it. Save yourself.

Then I was the consistent pains that she would get every now and then from the baby moving around, kicking her bladder or her ribs or even worse, her spine. She had almost fell a few times because of the sudden pains and each time, I caught her and lifted her up before she could fall. It scared me as well as her loved ones every time it happened.

I was pulled back into reality as Tess turned to me with her arms full of the floating glowbies she caught. The glow from the mildly sentient plants illuminated her face in a gentle, warm light as she smiled up at me. Her emerald eyes sparkles in the light of both the moon and glowbies. Her silver hair draped around her elegantly as she waddles toward me.

"Hi." She smiles as she stood in front of me, standing on her tiptoes with little difficulty to peck my cheek. She pulls away, watching me as heat rose to my cheeks.

"Hello gorgeous." I said sweetly as I pulled her as close as I could without putting pressure on her belly. My right hand caressing her rosy cheek the other wrapping around her waist as I led her closer, guiding her to my lips. Her lips move slowly, sensually against my own as I nipped playfully at her soft bottom lip, asking for entrance. She opened up for me, guiding my tongue into her mouth as she let me explore. She tasted sweet like berries, something she ate not long before we came out here.

She pulled away, arms dropping the glowbies she was carrying around as she wrapped her arms around my neck. We stood there, swaying gently as she let out a small giggle when she stepped on my foot.
