Hi everyone!!

It's been really hectic for me because I'm taken several steps forward in my life.

I somehow got a full ride (scholarship) to go to Maryland state university or Johns Hopkins University!!!

I know a lot of you will be disappointed, but I don't know what my schedule is going to look like until I officially start going to a uni, so I'll be updating whenever I can, which will be completely random at this point.

But I'm not dropping this book!!

Arthur age: 17
Tessia age: 18

Anywhore, ONWARDS!!

|Third person POV|

The setting sun casts brilliant colors of oranges and pinks across the seemingly never ending sky. The clouds rolled past slowly as a cool breeze blows past, bringing the crisp smell of the nature below with it.

Arthur stood on one of the many balconies of the floating castle, trying to enjoy the peace the environment around him provided. His mind slightly hazy from the strong wine he was currently consuming, trying his best to not let his mind wonder back to thoughts about the war. He couldn't help the sigh that escapes him as he sits on the bench nearest the small flower garden. This balcony was completely untouched, only a few people knew that this part of the castle even existed. He took full advantage of that, coming here often when he needed space, peace and time to think.

"I thought I'd find you here." Came a soft female voice. Arthur didn't need to turn around to see who it was. He knew that voice better than anyone else, and honestly, he didn't know how to feel about that.

He hums in acknowledgment, patting the space next to him without turning away from the view before him. Tessia came to sit down quietly, admiring the vast sky and the ocean of white clouds drifting about below. It felt as though the gods above painted the sky, and neither wanted this view to end.

After a moment, Arthur takes another sip from the bottle of wine in his hand. Tessia glances over at him, worry ebbing away in her chest as she watches he childhood friend silently drown out his sorrows.

"Art...talk to me. What's wrong??" Her voice is quiet, evident concern reflecting in her eyes as she fully turns to face her first love. Silence falls over them again, until Arthur sighs yet again.

"...What isn't wrong? Everything has gone to shit." He says, his eyes closing as he leans back against the back of the bench. His words are starting to slur, the haze his mind was already in started to deepen until the ambient noice around him falls silent. He could feel Tess pull the bottle from his hand. He didn't bother to try to take the bottle back, too tired to put in much effort.

"Sharing is caring. I'll be taking a sip of this." Tessia says playfully, earning herself a chuckle from Arthur. His eyes open once more, turning his attention to the woman beside him. She winks at him as she took a gulp instead of a sip, making Arthur laugh again at her antics.

It was then he realized that ever since she'd came out here with him, his thoughts hadn't once wondered back to the war. Instead, memories replay in his mind. A smile graced his face as he silently reminisces the past, a playful one that Tessia herself made so much more joyful. He didn't think Tess knew just how important she is to him.
