|Arthur's POV|

"But wait, that doesn't explain—"

"Why I sent out my underlings that massacred the entire brigade that Kezess sent after me? I didn't have a choice. Kezess knew what I was capable of, and it was his full intention to kill me and the lessers on the continent I was banished to. What he didn't realize was that his daughter snuck off to join the brigade in order to get into contact with me, which went horribly wrong." Agrona peers over to grandma, who was too busy playing with Sylvie to mind us as we talked.

"Sylvia wound up getting severely injured by one of my own. She didn't even manage to find a way to contact me, and mistook the action of my underlings as me basically insinuating that I wanted to kill every single last one of those in the dragon race...including her." He continues as his blood red eyes travel back over to watch his wife and child near the fireplace. It was a heartwarming sense. Especially since grandma thought she would never get to lay eyes on Sylvie, let alone hold her.

"So...it was a misunderstanding. When you sent Scythe Cadell, it was your intention to bring her to your continent?" I asked as I continued to watch the sense before me unfold.

"Yes. Though, she did tear Cadell a new one despite nearing death. By the time Cadell got her to Alacrya, I feared it was too late to save her. Thankfully that wasn't the case." A kind smile graced his features as he looked over at me.

"For years I had spent so much time and resources looking for her, and after the intel I gathered from the few soldiers of Ephoetus we did apprehend, I searched harder. With the notion that she was pregnant, and she'd fought in battle no less, I was practically losing my mind trying to track her down.

"The first thing she did when she woke up from her coma like state, was ask about her grandson. You can image how confused I was when she did ask." He chuckled as I gave a sheepish smile, feeling embarrassed for some reason.

"Not to mention that she tore me a new one for making her worry. I still have aches and pains to this day because of her." At this, I laughed along with him as we both watch as Sylvie pounces around her mother in energetic glee.

"Thank you for taking care of my daughter all this time, Arthur. I thought she was lost forever until Sylvia told me that she gave our daughter to you." I look over at the elk horned deity, giving him a small nod.

"Sylvie is a little blessing. I don't think I can live without my bond." My voice is soft, reflecting my mood perfectly. I haven't felt this calm in years.

"That she is."

"So...the Asuras..?"

"Will inevitably become our enemy, now that they most likely know that I've come to Dicathen? Yes. Which also means that I'll have to leave soon, since they might try to pull something while I'm away from Alacrya." He replies calmly.

"Will you take Sylvie?" I ask hesitantly.

"...No. I trust that you can continue to protect her. You have been all this time. Who am I to take that away from you? Besides, she is your bond, I feel as though she'd be sad if I took her with me." His eyes downcasts as a pained smile crosses his features.

"It's not your fault, you know? Not being able to see her til now, since I was hiding her. Not to mention grandma's seal over her core. She should've been impossible to track down." In return, Agrona ruffles my hair with a lighthearted chuckle.

"I see why Sylvia had taken to you so deeply. You really are an innocent child, despite your past." I froze as I let his words sink in.

"Don't be shocked. Sylvia has seen a few of your memories, and me being curious, I did probe you mind for a moment." He turns to fully face me, a serious expression replacing his kind smile.

"I'll tell you this now, Arthur. Choosing to live this new life of yours as a sword will only hurt you. Yes, you can protect the ones you love, but don't make that your entire life's purpose. You were given a second chance for a reason, one you shall find out sooner than later. Now, based off of your memories, you have a mother and father to reconcile with, as well as...oh? A lover??" His serious gaze quickly turns into a teasing one as I back away from him, feeling my cheeks flush at his sudden shift in conversation.

"Lover?" Grandma echoes as she turns to look at us. Her eyes fall onto me as she suddenly starts beaming.

"Did you find a mate? Who is she??" Grandma squeals as she practically teleports over to me with Sylvie lying lazily in her arms.

"Apparently the daughter of the current elven king and queen."

"Will you stop?! Get out of my head already!!" I yelp in embarrassment before feeling a sudden weight lift away from my mind.

'Papa's been figured out!' Sylvie's small innocent voice completely contradicts the sly smirk plastered on her animalistic face. I shake my head with a sigh as I feel the expectant gazes, from two very nosy deities, on me.

"Yes. I like her." I slumped back down onto the couch just as Sylvie pounces on me.

"I'd say it much more than just 'like'." Agrona hums while his wife giggles beside him.

"Might as well. I don't think it can be any more than that. Considering her parent hate me, since I told them of my past." At hearing my words, Agrona frowns with a scoff.

"Lesser beings really are immature. Wait until they hear about what the Asuras did to the ancient mages. What you did in the past is nothing compared to what Kezess has done." He squints before his eyes widen for a moment.

"Agrona.."

"It slipped—"

Ultimately...I think both Agrona and Sylvia learned that the floors within a lesser beings castle can't hold up the force of an attack from an Asura.

Since the floor is gone...And Agrona with it.

I seriously don't know what this is anymore.

It's so weird.

Then again...I am weird.
