ONEWARDS!!!

__________**********__________

|Arthur's POV|

After putting on some clothes, and more teases from both Sylvie and Gramps, we all walk down the halls towards the council chambers. It was quiet as we walked, the castle seeming almost like a ghost town.

Tess squeezes my hand, which is holding on to hers. She looks up at me with a sad smile, one that squeezes my heart as I'm reminded of what's to come. Something that I've been actively avoiding since coming here. Sylvie then grabs my free hand in her smaller one, after feeling my emotions through our bond.

Feeling just a bit slightly more reassured, we continue on behind gramps, who walks just two feet ahead of us with his hands behind his back.

We finally come to a stop after walking up the stairs, with gramps nodding to the guards that stood on either side of the doors. They open them immediately, and I am gifted with the sight of a very abnormally quiet council room. Tess let's go of my hand as she steps back, pecking me on the cheek beforehand.

"I'll wait for you in my room." She says lightly before she turns away, and starts walking back the way we came. With a sigh, I turn back and walk into the room with gramps and Sylvie.

Gramps goes to take his place beside his son and daughter-in-law, while both Sylvie and I come to stand in the middle of the room. The eyes of the council members widen as their gaze trace over my new physical appearance.

'This feels familiar.' I thought as memories of when I'd first came to the floating castle flickers through my mind.

'Oddly enough.' Sylv replies with a giggle as she tightens her hold on my hand. I give a small squeeze in response, before turning my full attention to the council. All of them had a grim or solemn expression as the looked at me.  The other Lances standing rigidly behind their respective council members in tense silence, eyeing me with subtle, but still noticeable intrigue. No one speaking for a moment, until Merial breaks the silence.

"Before we start I just want to say, Arthur, I'm very sorry for your loss." She says in a gentle tone, as the other council members echo the statement.

"Thank you." I nod to them, and with that the topic quickly changed, much to my relief.

"Arthur, as you know, we have multiple reports of what happened on that day. Many questions to go along with it. I'd like to ask, what exactly was that ability that you used to eradicate the remaining beasts??" Alduin asks. It falls silent again as they wait for my answer.

"I...don't know. I do know it had something to do with my beast will, but that's all I know."  Was all I could think to answer with. In all honesty, I really didn't know. All I could remember was the feeling of a foreign yet at the same time, familiar power coursing through my body.

"Lady Sylvia's will? Arthur, I want you to trigger the will and shift into the first phase." Aldir steps forward from the shadows, his voice carrying a sense of uncharacteristic urgency.
