I know it's been like...a week.

Classes just started, and I just got CNA(clinical nursing assistant) certified!!

So I'll be working and taking classes!

Updates will sadly become a bit less frequent.

Anywhore, ONWARDS!!

|Tessia's POV|

"Where is Art?"

"Little one—"

"Where is he?!"

"...He's being kept in the dungeon."

My heart is racing in my chest as I turned around and bolted through the council room doors. I could feel Aldir's presence behind me, his eye practically boring a hole straight through the back of my head as I raced along the halls.

Arthur came back two weeks ago from his training in Ephoetus. I don't know what the Asuras did to him, but when he came back, it was like he was void of emotion. Void of life.

He barely even reacted to anyone calling his name.

He was dispatched about a few days ago to the shores of Etisten, as reinforcement in case a retainer or scythe showed up. From the reports, he did fight a retainer and won. Though, even after the fight ended, he went on a rampage. Killing any living, moving thing in his path. Sylvie was apparently able to get through to him before knocking him out and bring him back to the castle.

No one, not even Aldir fully knows what happened to him. Why he changed. Why he became so hostile.

A true killer.

"Open the door." I ordered in an indifferent, yet commanding tone to the guards that stood on either side of the door that led down into the dungeon. Without a second thought, they opened the door and I quickly made my way through, running down the stairs as my thoughts raced in my mind a mile a minute.

"Tessia Eralith, it's best you stay away from him—" before Aldir could finish his sentence, I cut him off abruptly.

"No, I will not leave him alone. It's because of whatever your people have done that he's like this. Is it so hard for you Asuras to take responsibility?!" I shouted as I turned to look at him with narrowed eyes. He eyed me as his brow slowly raised, though his expression is somehow still impassive.

"He is dangerous."

"He is my fiancé. I don't care if he's dangerous!" I said as I turned back around and started storming down the sell corridors, looking into each empty sell, searching for the man that gave my life meaning.

Aldir fell silent as he trails behind me, his footfalls not even making a single sound. Almost as if a phantom was following me instead of a living being.

As I passed each sell, my heart hammered harder within my chest. How far deep into this dungeon did they put him??

Far enough to not be a threat to anyone housed within the castle.
