"They want Finn."

Clarke was completely distraught.

She understood that Finn had basically massacred an entire village for her, but she had killed over three hundred warriors. Shouldn't Lexa want her dead instead?

This wasn't right and Clarke had no idea what she was going to do. Sure, she thought Finn was a cheating bastard but it didn't lessen her feelings that she had for him. They may have been slowly fading away but it didn't make a difference. Clarke didn't love Finn but she undoubtedly cared for the man.

"They want Finn?" Bellamy restated back to Clarke.

"The Commander— she said— she said our alliance starts with his death." Clarke struggled. Sure she probably shouldn't have expect Lexa to just give out an alliance like that and honestly, Clarke didn't know what to expect.

"Why? Because he killed a couple of grounders at a village? He was just looking out for you Clarke." Bellamy began.

"I know, Bell. I just don't know what to do.." Clarke sighed. She was slightly irritated at Bellamy for stating what was obvious. The Commander would never see it that way though. Hell, she didn't blame the Commander for wanting him. He killed her people.

But so did Clarke...

She sighed in frustration again.

"Finn? Why do you want Finn dead?" Clarke tried to keep the anger from being evident in her voice. Of course this wasn't going to be as easy as she somehow thought.

"Finn Kom Skaikru murdered fourteen of my people. Innocent people." Lexa expressionlessly responded.

"I killed three hundred of your people. What about me? Why not kill me instead?" Clarke's anger was evident in her voice now. She didn't miss how Lexa's eyes flashed with daggers before she recomposed herself.

Lexa knew that Clarke was defending herself and her people when she sent those three hundred warriors to attack. It's why Lexa slightly admired her. Not for killing Lexa's people, but for being able to defend hers. Finn had murdered her people without hesitation. Innocent people. Almost an entire village. Lexa would be caught dead before she even thought about allowing this to go by. People deserved justice. Families, deserved justice.

"Clarke. You were defending your people. Finn, however, was not." Lexa simply stated, looking at the ocean that seemingly stared back at her.

"He was defending me— he was looking for me, Lexa." Clarke's voice rose a couple of notches as Lexa finally snapped. Lexa slammed her hand down on the war table, the sound almost sounding like a bullet being shot. "You will NOT raise your voice with me. If you wish to have an alliance then meet the requirements. If you fail to do so, Clarke Kom Skaikru, then I will have no sorrow in marching upon your people and slaughtering every last one of them." Clarke's eyes stared back at Lexa's, seeing the daggers being thrown at her. Lexa closed her eyes, masking her expression before opening them again.

"You have two days to meet the requirements. Choose wisely." Lexa walked Clarke out of her tent, motioning the warriors to assure Clarke got back to Camp Jaha safely.

"We have two days to give Finn up..or the Commander comes to slaughter us all." Clarke abruptly cut Bellamy off.

She wasn't listening anyways.

"What? Two days?" Bellamy obviously stated again. "Yes, Bellamy. Two days. I just said that." Clarke finally broke, irritation and stress coating her voice.

Bellamy looked shocked and hurt at Clarke snapping at him. Clarke rolled her eyes and walked inside the Ark.

As Clarke rounded the corner she bumped into the last person she ever wanted to.

"Finn."

Clarke gulped.

"Finn. We need to talk."

He nodded and Clarke motioned for them to go to the meeting room.

She sighed, not ready at all to tell him that he practically had to die and save his people, or end up dying anyways because he refused to give himself up.

"What?"

"Those are the..requirements." Clarke mumbled. Her glossy oceanic blue eyes pierced through Finn's chestnut brown ones.

"Look we can just wait, okay? I'll try to reason with her and- and we can just go to the drop ship and hide you there, okay?" Clarke stuttered and Finn didn't miss how her voice cracked at the 'okay'.

Finn was battling himself in his head. He wasn't scared of being killed. Sure he would never want to be killed but if it was to save his people— if it saved Clarke and Raven— he'd do it. Though, Finn knew neither Clarke or Raven would let him give himself up.

"Okay.." He whispered. Clarke was shocked at his willingness. She hadn't expected him to actually agree. She gave Finn a small nod before she turned and exited the room, leaving him alone.

"Finn just hide under there, the floorboard." Clarke opened the hatch, revealing a small compartment that contained open space and fried wires.

Finn quickly jumped into the hole, Raven following suit.

"We'll let you know when it's okay to come out." Bellamy spoke, shutting the hatch.

"She's probably already sent guards to search for him here." Clarke mumbled, speaking more to herself than to Bellamy or Murphy.

They walked outside the drop ship, taking cover quickly behind two rocks that surrounded it as six grounders made themselves known. Bellamy and Murphy drew their pistols, Clarke unsheathing her dagger. She wished she had brought her pistol too, but a dagger was still something. "Don't let them find Finn." Clarke whispered to the two boys.

A figure walked out in front of them, the figures hands up in surrender. Clarke recognized the back of the figure.

"FINN!"

Clarke shouted, attempting to run after Finn as he turned around with his hands up in surrender and walked backwards, keeping his eyes on Clarke. The blonde was held back my Bellamy. No matter how hard she fought against his grip, she couldn't get out of it.

The grounders knocked the boy to the ground, beating him and tying him up.

They had done it.

The grounders had taken Finn from her.

From Raven.

They had the alliance. But all at the cost of a young man who murdered far less people than Clarke.

Clarke let out a shaky sigh as she relaxed against Bellamy's frame. Clarke deserved it. Not Finn. He was paying the debt that Clarke owed.
