It took me a while to get out to the beach, because I could not find my swimsuit in all the random shit I packed (thanks to my parents).

My swimsuit was a white two-piece. It had ruffles around the trims of the suit, and the bottom was tied up at the sides. It was relatively modest, because my parents made me buy it. It's not like I ever went swimming in it anyway.

When I got out to the place where everyone else was, Miya and Reki were playing volleyball in the water. Shadow was messing with them occasionally. Langa was laying in an inflatable tube, enjoying the water.

"Hey!" I yelled to them. They all stopped to look over at me.

"Sorry I took so long." I grinned, tightening my high ponytail. "I couldn't find my swimsuit."

Reki dropped the beach ball he was holding, and him and Miya both stared at me with wide eyes. I didn't take notice though.

I ran into the water, my footsteps making huge splashes as I did.

"Are you guys playing volleyball with the beach ball?" I asked. "Mind if I join?"

"Uh...yeah." Reki snapped out of his staring and picked up the beach ball.

The three of us played in silence for a while. I couldn't figure out why Miya and Reki were so silent.

When the ball came to me next, I caught it mid-air and held it with one arm in between my hip. "Okay, you two. What's going on?" I asked them. "This is supposed to be a fun beach trip, and you two act like you're not having fun."

Reki and Miya said nothing. They just stared directly at me. That's when I noticed that Miya's cheeks were pink.

I caught on.

I threw the beach ball at Reki and flicked Miya on his forehead. They both fell back into the water, but I didn't care. I was disgusted by them both.

Miya had once before admitted he had a crush on me, but I thought he had been over it by now. I guess not, after seeing how he acted.

Even after what happened, I was able to forgive them. They were my friends after all.

The rest of that afternoon, we had a blast in the water.

(Time skip)

The five of us were taking a break from the water, especially after Langa almost overheated in the water. It was funny to see Miya and Reki fan him off.

We also took the time to eat, and Reki slid some shaved ice down Miya's back while he was playing a game. He ended up getting a game over, and Miya started hitting Reki around with a beach ball.

It was hilarious. Especially when I took Miya's switch and beat the level for him.

He wasn't happy that I did, but he was a little relieved since he said that boss took him forever.

Right now, I'm back in my summer clothes because I'm done with the water. The four of us teenagers are lazing around, and Miya is even taking a nap on my lap.

Shadow came up to us, holding drinks in his hand. "Hey, have you guys seen Joe?" He asked us.

"He's over there." Reki said in a sour tone.

I looked over to where his eyes led, and sure enough, Joe was there. He was flirting with two girls, per usual.

"Damn his abs..." Shadow gritted his teeth.

Suddenly, he quickly set down the drinks. "Crap! Be back!" He put his fist in the air in front of him.

"Shh!" I put a finger to my lips, shushing him. "Miya's still sleeping." I messed with his hair a little, and I saw him smile.
